I would be genuinely surprised if they released more than 2 aspect warrior kits. I'm basically thinking it'll be just warp spiders (which is just a hope because they look pretty bad) and swooping hawks based on their description. But hey, maybe they'll get 3, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Can't wait to see what new models GW will release with the new codex! Personally, I would love to see a model for Drastanta, the Shining Spears Phoenix Lord. Speaking about waiting before buying specific miniatures, I’d suggest holding off and seeing what happens with the remaining Forge World/15+ resin kits, because I’ve noticed that a lot of them are already sold out online, and who knows how many others will disappear forever. What a shame. Great content as always, Proxy!

Lol literally just bought 10 dire avengers. Though I will say I think they hold up really well. The mould lines are a bit hectic, but detail and scale wise I really like them.

Once you clean the mould lines they are very serviceable! Also… very easy to convert guardian defenders into them.

Can't wait! Has anyone else noticed that in a Drukhari army, if you have Harlequins in your army. You get Strands of Fate. It's in the Army Rules on the 40k app and in Selection Rules on Battlescribe. So do Quins get Fate Dice?! Because that would be fucking epic if they do

Yes they do still have it but cannot use it in a Druhkari army because you never roll fate dice 🎲 in a druhkari force and have no ability to generate them

@ProxyHammer1 I need some of that backbone 😂 as a newer player (4 months of 9th edition before 10th started) I found it hard to deal with the hate. Especially when I was still learning the army, and so wasn't running a powerful list (a 5-6/10 at best) and would get paired up with 8-9/10 strength pseudo competitive opponents, who would still cry when I'd do something with fate dice & wraithguard while they were 35vp ahead minimum. Then when I would say something to the casual beerhammer guy that ran the group, he would say crap like "well try and understand how a new player like yourself would feel going up against a completely unfair army, so try and be happy you're still getting the chance to play". While he would run tank heavy Guard lists and complain if people "list tailored" when knowing they'd be facing him due to essentially having no chance at taking out multiple russes, sentinels (using that stratagem to revive them) and dorns etc. if they ran more infantry/bike/light vehicle lists, and he'd then sit in his DZ for 2+ turns, and had people complain about facing him in a casual setting due to that.

To be honest the hate just makes me love them more. Our models are awesome, they hit really hard and move like lightning. I usually wear something Elfy (t-shirt/hoodie) to represent when playing. Because casual elf hate can and does occur. Being so open about your allegiance seems to put them off somewhat. Keep the faith fellow Autarch, something good is coming for us in the new year.

Luckily I haven't run into this kind of behaviour much myself, guess I've lucked out on my local scene in that regard. I do agree that in the online space the discourse has been getting tiresome. It's gotten to a point where I have actively unsubbed from channels who just keep whining about Aeldari xD One I won't unsub to, but have been getting more and more annoyed at is Auspex actually. Literally every meta ranking video, showing we've fallen off more and more, he opens with "And then at x% we have the Aeldari, definitely a fall from grace since the start of the edition but blah blah blah" Just get over it already man! xD I get it, GW screwed up at the start of 10th, but this constant reminding is just perpetuating that idea of Eldar always being OP whereas we literally haven't been for 8-9 months now.

I play with my old metal models since the second edition because my favorite aspects units are the warp spiders, fire dragons, shooping hawks and the banshees. I hope that they will do the same beautiful job like the banshees and Jain Zar... And cross the fingers for a spider phoenix lord ! About the codex, i hope that it will be a nice book. That's all. I don't care about the rules, i will adapt and continue to play. In France we say that there is no bad Eldar army, there is just complaining players looking for excuses to loose. 😉 These loosers are the same players wrighting bad comments about you Proxy Hammer and your ' wrong positiveness ' ... I would agree that I am tired of Battle Host. It feels weird to play mostly harlequins or mostly Ynnari and the rules be the same as if I went heavy Craftworld. I’m excited for new sculpts though, I want to play a thematic aspect warrior list but hate resin with a fiery passion!

Good that I waited for new aspect warrior minis. Bought Fire Dragons last year and this was the last time I bought resin minis. But I really hope all old phoenix lords will be replaced with new ones because here in Germany it's basically impossible to get those.

I just finished painting 2000 points of salamanders after 5 years😂 I was just about to start an Eldar army, but I think Ill just grab their combat patrol along with a Drukhari one and start a Yannari army until the aspects come out. then 15 years down the road maybe I can complete a solo Durkhari army 😂😂

I hope they completely do away with the battle host detachment. It's stupidly powerful and would be very tough to balance other detachments against. I really don't want this entire edition to just be rerolls and a few fluffy joke detachments...

What do you think will happen with forge world units like the superheavy grav tanks? Do you think they'll use the new codex and releases to "clean up" and discontinue some kits? I've always wanted a scorpion as a painting centrepiece for my army, and with the way things have gone with other armies I'm starting to get nervous

I think the Superheavies will be relatively safe but everything else is getting put into legends. So Scorpion, Cobra, phantom Titan, and Revenant Titan will probably be kept in Imperial Armor.

Is there any new unit you would wish for? Maybe another type of grav tank? Also really hoping for good tachments. Feedback from my opponents is that playing against me is "oppresive" because a lot of the rules and reroll chaninigans for us come across as cheesing the game. My opponents just want a fun game where we are charging each other and trading, but thats never what happens. I almost feel like apologising when I play a new opponent and they see that i have eldar.

Come on Shadow Spec...yeah, I won't even finish the sentence, at this point, but it is obligatory for me, so there we are. Personally, I have never liked the Dire Avengers. I know they are okay, but I have always felt that they were a junk unit; little better than Guardians, and lacking some of the theme other Aspects carry. The fact that they were Troops, for a short time, only made that worse. Swooping Hawks are fine, but I'd still prefer plastic Spectres to replace one of these two. It won't happen, between neefs, and already likely getting a new Phoenix Lord, and I've long hoped for the Warp Spiders to get theirs,so I'll take solace there. Still wondering how they'll do for new detachments. GW hasn't batted 1000, this edition, and that with factions they WANT to ve be competitive, and sell well. I've often felt that they WANT Eldar to remain a bit niche, so that they don't need to have a big story footprint, so I'm not sure how good I think their codex will be; if they'll carve up the one detachment, killing it, and then make five others that are focused in ways that make sense (Cragtworlds themes), but not strong enough. No expert, personally, but we'll have to wait and see. Getting new sculpts for Warp Spiders, and hopefully Fire Dragons, will be great, though. If they just make Autarchsable to join their Aspects...it might cost, since it could make it harder for the Wayleaper to hang back, and hide behind his Lone Op tag, but I'd still like it. Farseers and Warlocks can join Guardians, but Autarchs should be able to join similarly trained, and equipped, Aspects.

I’m really hoping Autarchs can join aspects under certain conditions. Honestly it would be awesome but we will see. Craftworld themed detachments are a must imo and will be irked if they are not there 🫤 I love Spectres but it looks like they are going to legends honestly

The Lynx is definitely going to legends , I think the hemlock will be buffed honestly but not so much that it becomes OP. I think they will give us BS3+ and a psychic ranged attack

Statcheck has Eldar at a 50% win rate since Pariah Nexus, with a 1.09 over rep, 7% 4-0 start, and 3 large event wins. It is no exaggeration to say that this is probably the most balanced Eldar as a faction have ever been! 👍
