Does it hold deep enough substrate like for a bearded dragon or red ackie to dig?

I have 2 of these cages and they are great....IMO the glue between the panels is over kill and time consuming. It's holds together fine without it. Silicone on the inside is a must though.

Gluing it also makes it impossible to easily disassemble, if that becomes necessary

@Brandyalla that's true. Silicone the edges once it's assembled allows you to cut it if needed to disassemble
