Hey guys, great video! One quick comment or edit you might want to make. You reviewed the newair humidor in this video which has both heating and cooling. However the price you show and the model you link is to the model which has just the cooling, not the thermoelectric heating included. The model you show in the video is actually $499. Just thought I’d share :) outside of that, great video!

@@CigarTitans I’m beginning to think that’s the way to go. Had a wooden humidor...twice (won’t be going back to them) and I’m currently using tupperdores which are ok until it’s gets really warm.

@@MrSteviej893 my personal opinion is invest in electric. I had a standard desk top for years. It does the trick, but the maintenance was an ongoing thing. Not saying electric is for everyone, but I'm much happier with this kind of unit.

Do you have any advice for smoking cigars in the winter season? Do you just bundle up outside or do you guys just don’t smoke cigars when it’s 0 degrees or negative degrees outside? Smoking inside is not an option for me at the moment. I have a few sticks I want to enjoy but it’s just too cold outside!

@Ryan that’s a great question.... we smoke when it’s like 55 degrees outside... that SoCal cold...Zero Degrees??...um I suggest you invest in a in house air purifier for the winter season... no way I’m smoking in that..lol

So when you fill the plastic container with distilled water and the unit gets to your desired humidity, how do you regulate it to stay at that humidity and not keep climbing to high ? Love the videos guys

Ideally, that should be where the unit comes in. Keep some beads, or humidification packs in there, the unit should control the temperature.

Hi! I m having trouble with keeping my humidity in a electric humidor . When it s turned off it s 70% but when i turn it on and it starts cooling to 20 celsius degrees the humidity goes to 50% i think it s because it keeps taking air and make it colder. Any advice? Thanks!!!

Hey Marian Notes to keep in mind. - Where you have the unit stored. Near an AC vent or window, there may be fluctuations due to the amount of sun that enters the room. - have you properly seasoned it or if you may need to season it again.

So if it gets to 85 or 90 degrees in my house this will keep it at 70d inside this? And if I put a box in there, should I wet the box first??

Wayne, it has a cooling temperature between 52 and 74 degrees Fahrenheit. The warmer the room, the more that things going to need to work to keep your humidor at the desired level. I personally wouldn't recommend going above 80 room temperature. Keep the unit out of the sun, leave it in a shaded area of the house if possible.

Be careful with having it next to or under windows. Especially now or else your unit will struggle. My unit is in a room across from a window and the room doesn’t go above 80 degrees…. No need to wet the box, but I’m this smaller unit, I would take my sticks out of the box

Great video to my #saltandpepperteam 🤣. I love my Newair, I have 300H get cold here in Pennsylvania and it works amazing. No much maintenance on it than switching the Boveda packs, which by the way the last longer in winedor than your regular wood humidor. I need to put some lights on it though. Good job guys
