NEW Airborne Expansion Update is MASSIVE! (Early Access Gameplay)

Welcome to another video and today I'm back in Trailmakers to take an early access look at the NEW massive 1.6 update and also get a glimpse of the NEW Airborne campaign before kAN and I start our co-op playthrough. This update brings SO MANY awesome new parts and mechanics and I am just beyond stoked to dive further into it. kosmo I don't know if you know this but the smart cannon have a little homing effect to it and you can use the camera block to use as a scope

14:30 Quick tip: large planes turn smoother if you make a tail rudder. Roll alongside yaw makes a big difference as opposed to just using yaw which does basically nothing. The roll then pitch method of turning should only really be used for really sharp turns but even then yaw can help a bit.

Yaw is extremely important for everything, it infuriates me seeing trailmakers players ignore yaw

There's no new yaw fin! But I agree, I typically do yaw, I just made something simpler for the demonstration of the new pew pew blocks :)

So I seen some change/feature in the new update that is really intesting so here a list -New main menu and Hud -New part (of course) -More weapons (Minigun,Rocket launcher,Bomb) -Auto aim and targeting -Screen effect when crash into something -Mountable camera -Impoved build mode (Center of forces,Block input) -Block damage (When block recived damage it seem to glow yellow) -New campaign and quest and I notice that block seem to rarely to break now.

I feel like this update will remove a lot of the creativity associated with making advanced weapon systems, but I like that it is making the mechanics of planes more approachable, and allowing newer players a way to make cool builds a litter easier with how intuitive the new pieces are. (Also I can't wait to make a turret thing with the camera block) :)

i honestly cant wait for this update for so many reasons. Main ones being new parts to build epic planes and vehicles of mass destruction and because i cant wait for the return of some classic trailmakers videos like dethrone and all of those cool competitions

Next trail makers Tuesday, 2v2 plane vs land mobile AI gun, auto aim turned off. One player builds their teams ground vehicle, the other the plane. Both vehicles are driven by one person, the weapons aimed and fired by the other. 4 rounds unless a 5th tie breaker is needed.

This update is a massive W for the game I’m so exited to play it, I heard that we get every block for free despite purchasing the expansion or not but either way I’m gonna buy the expansion

The smart cannons have better tracking but slower firing rate but the miniguns have better firing rate but don’t track as well.

I don't think the weapon tracking will be that bad for multiplayer, those targets you were shooting at didn't instantly die and they weren't moving.

So, I'm going to try this out myself, but the bomb droppers seem to use the initial inertia of the dropper and they impart that to the bombs. So what happens when you strap a bunch of them to a helicopter servo, spin them around, and release them? Does it self destruct or will it spray out bombs? . . . . If it works, maybe it could be used in some kind of multiplayer monday game? Like the servo speeds up and you need to survive as long as possible as the grounds get more and more saturated with bombs.

Ok so I downloaded the updated stuff last night and just built my first from scratch plane in creative mode. I must say they make that so easy. I had a good flying if slow plane in maybe 20 minutes. I tend to suck at flight sim games with lots of crashes but this was painless. I still havnt crashed my new plane. lol its so good if I just let go of mouse and keyboard when its flying level it went gently glide to the ground miles in front of where I let go if Im decently high off the ground. really diggin the new updated stuff.

Finally decent chopters? Aero calculation for the blades was all messed up before, cause if you place blades adiacent other blocks, it won't calculate drag for that surface in between.
