This "Plane" BREAKS the Sound Barrier...and REALITY!

Hey everyone! I told ya'll I was gonna do it...it's time to experiment with the new large propellers from the crazy 1.6 update! I ended up making a bunch of fun creations with these new parts and ultimately tried to make an insane center prop plane that breaks the sound barrier and, frankly, reality itself! These were fun experiments and I had an absolute blast doing them so gives me more dumb ideas in the comments below and I hope you enjoyed watching this as much as I enjoyed playing it!

As far as I know, the game calculates the aerodynamics before spawning the vehicle. This is why frictionless glitches are possible

Also I think the weight depends on how many parts you have so if you want to make an aerodynamic plane but want it light, you can put some aerodynamic parts on and then detach them

I think the gane calculates aereodynamics the second you exit build mode and keeps it that way, this is how the 0drag glitch works

14:15 Its the air resistance pistons give. Even though they are retracted, seems that when it comes to pistons and drag, it only matter what is the case when they are in their default state, it doesnt matter what happens when theyre retracted. Dont forget the massive amount of extra thrust and youre still slower. 17:15 Well, i just answered that Btw, when building something fast, you should decrease its profile size as much as possible. Long wings was making it way slower The plane kept on pitching up becouse in the front you had 2 slopes that pitched you down and 4 that pitched you up. You know you can just make the two oppose each other and have 3 that yaw you left and 3 that yaw you right. Perfectly balanced

Yes the game calculates air resistance like that with the arrows in the menu. That's why the 0 drag glitch works.

The issue with the pistons wasn't the weight but the added air resistance, activating piston/deactivating pistons does not change the way drag is calculated

If you want to know how the game calculates drag you can try extending the upper props midair to see if it slows down. If it changes then the calculation is dynamic but if it doesn't matter whether they're up or down then it's a static calculation.

Fins only stabilise when they're at the back. Front fins make the vehicle flip around. And generally speaking, horizontal fins won't really correct you car's drifting because that's the yaw, which is the verticle fin.

Putting aerodynamics to the back really helps. I made a speedster boat using only 1 underwater propeller with the top speed of 278 kph with that method. No glitches of course.

Hey Kosmo, I kind of use gliches a lot too, but I have noticed that when it envolves speed, that little vibration the glitch causes really affects speed, so I dont think it was the weight, but that vibration. At least was my experience. Thanks for the content.

"Does it make sense that it's not getting torque spin?" Kosmo, you have so much torque in these that the ground vehicle would literally uncontrollably turn. To give you a perspective on what I mean, the P-51 Mustang, with an engine rated for I want to say around 1500-1800 horsepower, would literally run itself off the runway if it went over 40" mercury manifold pressure. To provide context to that, the highest powered mustangs could reach 80" mercury. Literally if you put the throttle above half, it would cause the plane to run itself off the runway and potentially crash catastrophically. That thing should be a beyblade without contra-rotating props. Also, on the topic of drag, even if the wings are bright green, wings increase drag. Especially for high speed runs, smaller wings are always the way to go.

14:45 it's actually not the weight, it's almost never a weight problem because no matter how heavy the plane is, while you not forced to angle your plane upwards to just fly horizontally - weight is only effects acceleration of your plane, not top speed UPD - it's always front air resistance. Thus if you double it sideways - you also double the air resistance, so it never be faster, it's like launch two of this things side to side. In your case it's different because you don't double the wings. That leads us to another upgrade: you can place wings behind each other to make air resistance be like there is just one wing.

A cool idea I feel like you guys could try is have a race where you all build f1 cars and you could give them DRS if you use flap wings with the flap up as a spoiler as it’ll give downforce and then put he flap down when you are on the straights and don’t need any downforce

I tried the propeller for a quadcopter build... it couldn't get off the ground... I put them in a front and backward positions with some wing pieces and tails and the vehicle ended up as a relatively decent plane

well as allways to go fast power doesn't really matter, drag does >< ps: moving block doesn't change the "amount" of drag, only the direction can change.

Kosmo! How dare you not play the game how the comments are demanding you to!!! I'm kidding. You do you, good sir. But I believe that what ever the aerodynamics are saying in the build menu is the aerodynamics you'll get when you spawn it in. This is why the frictionless glitch works. The parts that had bad aerodynamics and higher friction on them are no longer part of the creation once they've been broken off and because the "new" contact points didn't have any friction or air resistance on them being calculated, the game does not update for that. In otherwords, the game does not dynamically update friction and air resistance in real time. What ever the arrows say in the build menu is what you get until you change something on it in the same build menu. This is kind of why seats will get yeeted so frigg'n far if they're ejected from some creations. They don't have a lot of air resistance calculated on them and usually they're not touching the ground so they have a low friction value as well.

By the looks with the test you did its calculating the yellow resistance since the two test with varying propellers resulted in 600. Also im guessing by the video you got traumatized (i know not really) by your commenters. By the way that was a epic landing reminds me of the cartoon spy sits down into the vehicle but instead the plane crashes and your walking onto the deck
