I forgot TO SAY: On the big map Heligoland Bight, heavy bombers have been removed from the game. On the smaller map Zeebrugge, both normal AND heavy bombers have been removed :( You guys HYPED for this DLC? It's out on the CTE right now, but don't know for how long. Remember early CTE access footage in the video means it's subject to Dice changing things before the release!

I love how we're referring to the naval maps with a "food chain". The soldier eats the beach shrubs, now this can go either way. Planes of prey, such as _Volatus aeronauticus_ (Attack plane), consume the soldier, but smaller birds like the _Combatii aeronauticus_ (Fighter plane), can steal these kills. Both of these smaller beasts however, fear the _Explosus aeronauticus_ (Bomber) and _Explosus aeronauticus majoris_ (Heavy Bomber). The fighter plane is the most common prey for all three other species, but surprisingly, does most of the damage to the three, and feed solitarily, or in pairs. The soldier can fight back, but efforts often are futile. Lastly, the _Hydrogenii aeronauticus_ (Sea blimp), is all-around a predator and a prey. With superior sight, but inferior speed and large shape, often see it's life cut short. The sea is also a deadly place for the soldier. The _Torpedicus marinus_ (Torpedo boat) is the primary predator for the soldier, but is also symbiotic with them, as it spares soldiers that ride on it's back. The larger beasts, _Destructis marinus_ (Destroyer), and _Dreadnoughtii marinus_ (Dreadnought), will prey on the two prior creatures, but often leave them, due to their faster speeds.

I've noticed that a good way to destroy incoming fighters and attack planes in the C-Class is to elevate or descend as fast as you can into their flight-path. The players piloting the airplane don't often consider the mobility of the C-Class, and will tend to crash straight into the airship, causing the plane to explode and the airship get off lightly.

It is waaaayyy too easy to take down. It needs more health and it needs to be able to go higher than flak range. Plus that seat 2 cannon is extremely inaccurate so that also needs to be adjusted. It has great potential but there needs to be changes

With the bomber killer loadout you can take out a blimp in one swoop, you just start shooting the machine guns and when it's about half overheated change to misiles, 100% guarantee it blows up, also many people don't realize you can shoot threw the blimp with the AA on the top, so if you fly low the AA gunner won't shoot you when swooping.

Have DICE decided to just implement maps over a period of time instead of dropping them all in one package or something? Seemed odd that Turning Tides only had 2 maps that didn't even have any land vehicles on them. On an unrelated note, i apparently got an add from what i guess was an organization trying to help kids with serious problems, and they apparently decided that an 8 year old kid with an alcohol problem was a good way of saying that they were helping. All power to them, but it's just funny when you're watching a guide and then suddenly a kid interrupts your schedule, telling you they have an alcohol problem and then fucking off again.

They staggered the release because DICE got a bit of stick over the 6 month gap between the Frenchie and Tsar DLC. So they are trying to keep ppl more happy by drip feeding the content so the kiddies don't get bored and switch over to CoD, or something.

Best gun is fortres gun at helgoland. U cancontrol half the map on your own. 1 shot torpedoboats and 3shot destroyers. U only have to worry that some infantery sneaks up to you but its a long way for the enemy

The airships balance problem would improve greatly if the AA cannon on it was also capable of destroying the rockets from the Attack/Fighter planes, or at the very least sending them off-course. The one thing I don't like about the vehicles in this DLC is that whether or not you survive long enough to make a difference (and have fun) depends on whether somebody on the enemy team has dedicated time (and sometimes a vehicle slot) to countering you. The airship dies near instantly to the right plane, the destroyer goes down fairly quick to a single torpedo boat firing them long-distance a couple times, and god help you if there's multiple boats on you. There's almost nothing you can do in either of these circumstances. It's like rock-paper-scissors but without the circle of counters.

How does the airship fight back? With the slow-firing, arcing front cannon? With the back-mounted, high-arc and mediocre damage autocannon? Oh, you mean the AA gun that people can just stay outside the range of and launch a barrage of long-range airship buster rockets for an easy 95 damage. You are hilariously mistaken if you think planes die before they can deal any damage to the airship. Speaking of cheesing these new vehicles with long-range tactics, remember when I mentioned long-range torpedoes? I'm not talking about the torpedo boats that instantly charge straight at you and get killed. I'm talking about the ones that sit a mile away and just spam torpedoes while driving evasively. It's near impossible to hit them when your shots have a 3-4 second travel time to their location, a timeframe where they can easily shift their course ever so slightly to dodge your attacks. Easy damage for little risk. Which is exactly what I'm getting at. These tactics have no risk for the high reward they provide. A torpedo boat should have to get at the very least within AA gun range to deal that 40-50 burst damage to a destroyer, as should an airship buster to deal that ridiculous 90 damage burst. I'm not the one ignoring factors.

It doesn't kill him anyway and the torpedos travel slower then Martiny Henry's fucking bullet so shut the hell up.The same goes with rockets.If the Airshil is a whole squad they can easily dodge the rockets and just one-shot the plane with the front cannon,if the canno guy is good at aiming.

You overestimate how fast these vehicles can accelerate, decelerate, and change direction. With very little practice you can easily lead torpedoes at long range on the destroyer's broadside, and the destroyer isn't going to have enough time to slow down, speed up, or turn in order to dodge them. The cannon on the airship has terrible aiming angles when turned to the left and right. If a plane attacks from the broadside at a low or high altitude, they are safe from the weapons on the front and back of the airship while also having the entirety of the huge balloon to aim at. They aren't dodging anything. They're screwed. How slow a projectile moves is irrelevant when the target is so huge and slow. Make me shut up if the truth hurts you so much.

as someone who has playing the shit out of the airship, here's my tip: STAY. THE FUCK. OUT OF AA. destroyers? other airships? dreadghouts? you name it, if you are going for a bombing run and theres an aa active, you cant go foward out of the effective range, you cant reverse fast enough, you cant turn back before getting destroyed, heard that stumping noise and chunks of your life going away? abandon ship and pray how i play: away from action, dealing with one or another plane time to time, letting my gunners go ham, calling out artillery when i can and bobming far and safe objectives (like F on helligoland, btw good to keep that, the defenders get an destroyer from it)

as a tank hunter pilot and bomberkiller hater this looks terrible. theres literally nothing you can do against a good bomberkiller pilot and only hope that they make a mistake. since their quick repair adds 30hp its literally impossible to lose if youre flying the bomberkiller with a brain. bomberkiller needs a nerf, it shouldnt need only one run to kill the mini airship and shouldnt have a free quick repair every few seconds. on the other hand tank hunter should be nerfed aswell against tanks. since only a few ppl seem to know how to fly and win with a tank hunter this wont happen tough lmao
