Awesome, thank you for getting these, i think it will be great to see what they can do compared to all those clones of yesterdays best.

I follow closely class D development (regardless of my clone wars) because I strongly believe that area will be the future of hi end audio. We are not there yet, but with that pace - soon.

@@k4syx were you looking for mics still / if so maybe the (Serena Microphone Kits) might be something to consider

These small power amplifiers are amazing starting or end points points into the hifi rabbit hole! Especially with the options for upgrading the Op-amp for the fiddlers to experiment with and have fun! ....which can be made even better (or more interesting?) with the addition of reasonable tube preamp in the mix... to add that certain something...and more simple upgrade options with tube rolling. It's a great time to be in hifi. I imagine one day there will be a full tube +dual mono class d hybrid integrated amp ...with multiple source inputs in a nice long slim chassis

Exactly! Think how far these went from first TPA3116d stuff a few years ago, and we still mostly see mature TPA3255 designs now. So the biggest question that I have is what TI has up the sleeves, what will be the next generation of d-class capable of! With tube preamps and better opamps D-class is really good and there is some real invention happening

As I really miss balance controls in almost all preamplifiers I am happy that these mono amplifiers have potentiometers at the input. So I am really interested in their sound.

I wonder how much these cheap class d are behind something like hypex nilai amps
@k4syx6 күн бұрын
Good question, I need to get some to compare. I wouldnt assume they are behind without solid listening session. ZeroZone monoblock 3255 set is simply amazing - they actually did design they own boards instead of just going with reference TI whitepapers one

The 3e Audio PFFB monoblocs are coming in december, also 4 different stereo integrated amplifiers. It will be possible to swap the opamps without opening the cases.

Only one opamp to replace will save some money when putting in Sparkos or Staccato. Maybe apply some thermal paste to the heatsink? I wonder how they compare to the Zerozones
@ChicagoRob26 күн бұрын
Yes, good thermal paste would help to accelerate heat transfer to the chassis.
@k4syx6 күн бұрын
I will check how do they compare to ZeroZones and also Fosi stack that I got in my mail (FINALLY) today
@k4syx6 күн бұрын
@@ChicagoRob2 yes it would but on the other hand these do not generate a lot of heat at all so they do not have to be as efficient in transfer as for example CPU radiators with all that polished base and silver based thermal paste

Firstly, thanks for one of the best channels on YT. In the full review can you open the psu as well. Cheers.
@k4syx6 күн бұрын
Thank you! I can try if its possible, if its glued then I will not destroy it. These PSUs are GaN type, smaller, a bit heavier and good looking
