For a little more than 3 years I have used Firesticks to connect to US Prime through a VPN. Worked flawlessly. Last week one of my Firesticks would open the Prime app but when I tried to continue playing a show or movie I would get a spinning circle and the error "We're unable to connect to Prime Video" - telling me to check my internet. Internet was fine but I tried a different WiFi SSID, rebooted firestick, WiFi router, tried connecting directly with a wired connection, tried a different VPN city - nothing made a difference. Finally I did a factory reset, set the Firestick back up and it worked, I was able to continue shows & movie already in progress and start new movies .... until later that day when I started to get the exact same error. 1 day later a second Firestick started having the exact same error ... spinning circle and message "We're unable to connect to Prime Video. I have 1 Firestick that still works as of today but I don't hold out hope that will last. All Firesticks followed the same path from my house to Prime Video, with the exception that the 2 failed Firesticks used WiFi ... BUT again, I did test them with a wired connection which didn't solve the problem... same VPN provider, same VPN city. I have to believe this is something that Amazon has pushed out....

Hi I wanted to check if it was just my firestick but I found a load of permissions on one of the apps basically accessing wifi network sockets, read-only access to phone and a lot more unusual permissions which look shady in music photos etc. Purpose for fraud and security compliance. Just wanted to see if this is the norm. Thanks in advance Jen

Firestick users please help !!! Mine has decided to give up the ghost 🙈 When I plug it in the Firetv logo appears and it illuminates like it’s trying to log in but it’s not doing so. There’s not much online but what there is I have tried and nothing works. Any idea if/how there is a fix or is a new one required. It’s only 18 months ish old which is annoying. Thanks in advance 👍

@@steviehutch9681 are you getting the boot up screen? Try press and hold the 'Back' button and the 'Right' directional button on your Fire TV remote simultaneously for 10 seconds
