I just use a canon 70D and my iPhone. When my pack is too heavy and the trek is far, I usually just use my iPhone and GoPros. Thinking about using an actual camcorder this year though. Will see!

Thanks for sharing this. About how long does it take to download all the current photos to your phone from the camera? I know it's dependent on how many there are but what have you seen in your use so far.

You’re welcome! I’ve only downloaded a few pictures and videos that I wanted to keep and that didn’t take too much longer than it would downloading from the actual card to a hard drive. I would say it took a couple seconds longer to download videos.

I got one and I can't get it to record video, I have motion detection on, and have checked all the other settings. I wish you had gone through the set-up steps you did.

You can control the settings on the app. You should be able to set it up where the camera will take a picture and a video or just one or the other. I have mine set for picture and video and it captures both. Hope this helps.

Does the camera send you photos or video automatically if it gets trigered if you're connected?

No, you have to be in range of the Bluetooth signal and choose what you want to download

The manufacturer says 49ft but I have mine in the backyard with a clear line of sight and still have connection around 60 ft
