Just note that the field of view (how many degrees wide the view is) is a function of both the focal length of the camera lens as well as the size of the image sensor. So when comparing different cameras with the lenses they ship with, you don't want to think that the view of 2 cameras with 2.8mm lenses is necessarily the same. Also, the low-light performance is a function of the camera sensor itself - larger pixels are more sensitive because they collect more photons. And also the ratio of the focal length to the diameter of the lens. These things interact - if you compare two camera sensors that are the same physical size, the one with larger pixels will be more sensitive, but have lower resolution because you can't fit as many pixels in the same area of the sensor. This is why more pixels isn't necessarily better. Everything else being equal (sensor size, optics), a higher resolution camera sensor will generally have worse low-light performance. Thanks for the video!

I would request that you reshoot the backyard comparison, except donwhat you did out front... Shut off the IR LEDs... Bet the image is brighter than the Reolink then... I can't believe you waited til itnwas out front to do that. That wasn't fair. I suspect the Amcrest will actually look better than the Reolink then. That's a starlight camera sensor, so unless you are in actual indoor pitch black the IR LEDs shouldn't be on in most cases. Possibly when it's cloudy. Would love to see. Already ordered an Amcrest IP5M-T1179EW-28MM. Going with Shinobi for recording and motion detection and alerts. Seems to be the best suited for the camera. Thanks for your comparison. Love your informative videos, have been watching for weeks and getting ready to buy (probably) a complete NVR kit. Instinct is Zosi's quality/longevity must be lower to account for the price difference, but there aren't many high quality video reviews like yours for their cameras/NVRs. @@digiblurDIY , It would probably take about 100+ mile per hour wind to move that. It doesn’t have much wind resistance.

Have you ever seen a camera that only wanted to accept an ipv6 address?
@lelandclayton54624 жыл бұрын
I've yet seen a IPv6 IP Camera, let alone I really haven't looked. Typically IP Cameras will be adopted to a standalone Network to a NVR's Plug and Play ports.
