New improved design prototype in this video. It fixes all the problems of the last design. This one's a homemade design but I am currently working on the finished production version.

Putting in the work and effort matters. I appreciate the sharing of progress. I think it is the only non-cynical use of the word "spin" right now.

I think you’ve got the right idea. What if you use your body to create a shadow on/ over the pan, that way the shadow will make the pan & the black sand into a darker background. Using your body to shade the pan will almost be like as if you’re shining a light into the pan resulting in the gold actually highlighting itself just because of its light color. Then the gold will standout because it’s so much lighter than the background. I’m sorry that I can’t explain what it is I’m thinking & do it in a shorter simpler way to make it easier to understand. I hope you’ll be able to decipher/understand these ideas. I don’t know if any of this information can help you but honestly I do hope that it does. Here’s to wishing you the best of luck with your very ingenious ideas revolving around gold panning & I really & truly hope that it “absolutely just takes off like a rocket from a launching pad for you”. I think you deserve some major success & you could shine a light on gold panning to show people that the process of “panning” has changed greatly from what it used to be. Great job, content, video & thank you for taking the time to capture your adventures on video!!!

Is just using a classifier and a normal Pan quicker? Just curious on what the whole purpose of the spin pan is , if u still have to pan at the end?

I'm thinking the same thing, give me a high-banker any day

@ after watching it more , It for sure quicker in accumulating black sand/gold quicker … then you just gotta Pan out the black sand…. Prob gets rid of 1/2 panning you normally would do

I bet if the pan had double the amount of ridges like 18 of them he could prob spin it at slower speed and just right enough water to be able to spit out everything but the black sand and gold…. 18 ridges while spinning and vibrating after spinning everything with the 9 ridge is the idea I am getting lol

As you no doubt know, Bjarne, there exists a race of far-eastern gentlemen who will, without compunction, purloin your spin pan design to themselves and turn out loads of cheapie trashy inferior copies, after you have done all the hard work. Guard your patents well.
