Love the chicken on its nest in jadeite. This weekend I saw a Pyrex bowl teal in Hot Air ballon pattern, never saw this pattern. Anyway they wanted $99 for one large bowl. Nursing jobs and no weekends are hard to find I know. I worked Pheresis for 35 yrs and was pretty much day/evenings and evenings was ending at 7:30 pm. But call was involved. But i did like the job you did platelet donors and then therapeutic side with patients for plasma exchanges etc. You do become use to new norm but always a juggling with babies and kids.😊 I hope you find a position that is good for you and your family.

Love Jadeite! It looks really pretty mixed with green depression glass too. So pretty for spring. Praying for better work hours Jen. Nursing has been a great and rewarding profession.....but when littles come along we gotta be creative in changing course. I went from inpatient round the clock neonatal intensive care to out patient case nanagement of high risk maternal child with some prn nursing pool in between when the kiddos were really young. Hope your dream comes true for your sweet family. Patti

My daughter loves Jadite and I just purchased a piece for her birthday. I love it too but it seems to be more expensive than some of the other items I collect. I think as you collect more Jadite it might be pretty on your new small china cabinet. I have really enjoyed your channel from day one when I watched you the first time. 😊❤😊

Jadite is my favorite collectable!! I have been collecting it for almost 30years and my mom collected it before that. It's so beautiful. You have to be very careful though, Martha Stewart put it on the map when she started sharing her collection in her magazine. Since then fakes have flooded the market. Especially cake plates, salt and pepper shakers, grease jars, measuring cups, and butter dishes. Is your hen on a nest marked? I think that might be part of the 90's stuff, but I am not sure. I had never seen one of those in jadite until the reproductions started happening. Either way it's very pretty, just don't want you to pay a premium price for something that isn't the real deal. I just hope you know how much you have been a ray of sunshine for your followers. In a world of young people who don't care about tradition, family, and values you and your family are such a comfort! I never had a daughter, but if I did I would pray for her to be just like you! Especially since you are collecting jadite, you are nearly perfect!!!!

I have chickens in my kitchen on top of my cabinets and I've found them at the thrift store. I've got some great chickens. I wish I could find AJ dad's Chicken like that. Jadeite is so tricky because the Jeannette style was marked with a J early on but they stopped marking it later so you have to rely on the glow but there’s also not a glow sometimes on genuine pieces. The fire king division is actually Anchor Hocking. And AH is what I mostly remember seeing at my Grandparents and Aunts homes growing up. It’s so pretty but it’s so easy for companies to reproduce similar looks and pieces. We just have to do our homework and do the best we can with our collections. ❤

I’m 73 years old and my grandmother had an old fashion kitchen cabinet with glass doors filled to the brim with jade ware. They were her every day dishes. You are very sweet and a hard-working lady. I have a 4 pc set of swirl mixing bowls❤️ I’m sorry you have to head back to work🥲 it’s sure different tho’ than 35+ years ago. I had to schedule my six weeks off ahead of time!🥲 I started leave the week of my due date Baby was 12 days overdue😭 I went back to work when she was a month old😭 Luckily, Grandma was close by to help my hubby watch her and my 3 year old. I worked nights and weekends…yuck. I do think it made the bond with them even stronger ♥️♥️♥️ You’ll get thru it♥️🙏 Someday you’ll look back and wonder how you did it!! Happy Valentines Day! 👨‍👩‍👧 💌
