:D Do It!! Texas is awesome! And apartments run pretty cheap! $550 - $1000 will get you an apartment like that (in Houston). Dependent on where you want to live Houston, Dallas, and Austin (the best in my opinion!) you can even get a apartment close to the city for that price, or one by a lake for that price (Texas has a lot of land lol, plenty of suburbs, cities, lakes, etc.)
