I honestly like the real time battle. It's fresh new take and makes you feel like you're battling with your pokemon. However i'd like them to update it and make it more complex. Like adding more moves, and making certain stats better (like speed. Atm speed doesn't do shit. It'd be cool if a higher speed lets you attack faster or maybe have more time to dodge.)

This is a step in the right direction, but it's annoying how they seem to want to obfuscate everything. Just show us the damn stats. It's just extra nonsense that doesn't add anything at all to the game, just makes it that much more frustrating. At least we have an official way to know if a Pokemon is worth investing in now, but it was just done so haphazardly. Funny part is, this was probably a lot more work for them to implement than if they just simply showed the IV's. I get they don't want to overwhelm casual players, but the hardcore need accurate information.

IV's have never been shown in pokemon games. they show the stats in this game and its CP. IV is just to make every pokemon of the same species different

Curious Cat I know, it bugs me there too. But they can't really actively prevent people from checking those IV's like they've been doing with Pokemon Go by blocking sites that check for that stuff. I understand why they don't want 3rd party sites accessing the games info, but it was only because they left out necessary information to play the game to its fullest. Now it's better, but the closest we can get now is approximations unless you use an IV calculator, and even then there's a margin of chance.

The difference is those you can maybe get some exact number but cause they are not server based up until you get into pvp and the gts network, but here the reason they took down those sites was cause they would stress their servers cause of the invasive thing I mentioned, that's why they added this feature instead and just like those sites it gives an approximate. But in the way core pokemon games give you IV approximates. Good thing is now we can use this and a non invasive calculator to narrow it down without getting banned

It's kind of silly to rate IVs from 0-100, when really they should be 0-45. That way you wouldn't get numbers after the decimal point and there's no need to translate back to what it actually means.

First of all, congrats for being the best Pokemon GO channel, keep it up ! I wanted to let you know something: I always to a park near home at the very same time of the day (not on the same days though), that used to be an Abra nest, I was capturing at least 5/6 of them everytime I was going there and would always have an Abra on sightings , then one evening it changed to be more of a Drowsee nest and have seen only one Abra (maybe just unlucky on that day), I haven't been for a week and tonight it turned out to be Machop nest (clearly ! Got 7 of them in 45 minutes of cycling around) and always one of them in sightings. So here's the question: Do you think nests will change randomly ? after a certain time ? will they ever come back (like from a Machop to a Abra nest). What are the chances for it to become a Bellsprout nest in the future ? That could be a good idea to check the nests where you use to go (once back in LA) and see if it has changed. I can't actually do that myself as I am not playing enough for comparing things but I am still interested if there is any kind of algorythm behind that. Keep the channel going you're awesome !

Great video, I liked the low level gym battle :P I think it would be interesting to see some events added to the game like leveled tournaments. For example, tournaments that players can compete in with their pokemon, and perhaps some tournaments will have level limitations, preventing pokemon that are over 500 CP or other tournaments that require a minimum of 1000 CP to compete in, and so on that way we can use our lower level pokemon as well. Or possibly weight-classed tournaments, which could make XS and XL pokemon more useful/desireable. Just some ideas I had while watching, let me know what you think.

As someone who loves farming Magnetons in Pokémon GO, this is my best Magneton in terms of CP. I named it Itanium, and its CP is 1550. "Overall, your Itanium simply amazes me! It can accomplish anything!" "Its HP is its strongest feature." "I'm just as impressed with its Attack" "I'm blown away with its stats. WOW!" "Your Itanium is so tiny, I almost didn't notice it!" Looks like I have a decent magneton :)

The good: you are my favorite Pokemon video guy. This vid in particular was super helpful and explained everything so perfectly. The bad: after checking all of my babies, I had to trash most of them that I thought were awesome but actually weren't. RIP sweet arcanine.

With the SilphRoad calculator it is quite easy to determine Mon's level. When caught, it falls into one of two (full) levels. Often, its attributes will not allow it to be one of those levels (ie it has less HP than HP threshold for the higher level). That way, it's level is determined and I can learn its IV straight away. For cases when this is not true, I have marked/named some of my shitty IV - but high CP - Mons ; l21-l22-l23 etc. And then I simply compare the dot's position on the arch. The new system only makes it easier now :) My point is, that your method with PokeAssistant still seems so complicated and less accurate. Hope this helps, keep up the good vibes!

Certain levels also have same Dust requirements, but different Candy requirement. Those are actually the simplest one to determine too! :)

Just found that 2 of my Golducks are reported to be really tiny amd my 3rd Golduck is gigantic, very interesting. Before this video I thought this appraisal was non-sense, but connecting the IVs trainer tips has been posting for awhile now brings all this together little by little. I was getting a bit worn out with the game, but this is breathes a bit of fresh air for me :-) Thanks for all your dedicated time and videos your putting out every week Anyone else has Trainer Tips opening music as their ringtone...I do lol
