New Approaches to DP/Flex

The presentation was very good. In my opinion the DP Flex concept is an overly complicated facet of the game. Very few fans can tell you the ins and outs and I know of accomplished coaches that can't explain it in its entirety. If something is so complicated that it requires more videos on youtube of how this mess works perhaps it needs to be limited and or simplified.

If you know the rule how could this make it confusing? He even shows how to mark the lineup card once players are going in and out. This made it much easier to understand and how to explain when a "rules expert" is sitting nearby and telling the coach that what the opposing coach is doing is not legal...which just happened last night.

So, dp can play defense anywhere but must play offense and flex can play offense anywhere and must play defense, correct

No.. the flex can only bat in the position originally held by the DP

The DP stands for defensive player according to the NHFS rule book.
