Get your hands on the larger "fat" channel knob - they're OEM and run around $10 on eBay. You'll be glad you did!

@ Lincomm: been slowly upgrading parts, but I will definitely be replacing the knob as you’ve suggested. I’m sure I’ll be happier with the bigger knob too.

@@ourthinlines1404 It’s well worth the money. I liked the look of the APX8000 speaker grill better than the stock grill on the 6000, so I replaced that as well, using an APX6000 name plate (both from the same place that I got the volume knob from).

You can always buy one on ebay and have ir programmed for either non affiliated scan or put on your system, if you choose the first option for non affiliate then programming it can be looked up here on youtube or i made a video on how to do so

How do I go about flashing an APX6000 for FPP?
@ourthinlines14043 жыл бұрын
@darkh0st The best solution, if this is for your personal radio, used to go on eBay and use a seller that I highly recommend. His name on eBay is rickthompson602t. He is a highly reputable individual on eBay. He is against someone that I highly recommend for the best prices and for the most professional upgrades. You need to go through individuals like this unless your agency will authorize your radio to be on their system. In which case you have to surrender your radio to the radio technician responsible for that system which could take quite an amount of time and consider amount of paperwork. I hope that this helps and I wish you the best of luck with your radio :-)
