Thanks for watching! In person, both are pretty uniform. I'm thinking the lighting might have made it a little hard to tell. Agree darkside had a slight edge on the darkening effect. Wasn’t a big fan of Darkside until I started using it more. First application is ho-hum visually over time. But it seems to form a base that makes the next coat last much longer aesthetically. Most importantly, in subsequent washes, I only use neutral soaps, with a soft brush. No reason to hammer a sealant with harsh cleaners.

Hey Walter thanks for watching. Totally agree, once your darkside runs out you should give ghost a try I was impressed. We'll see how it holds up but similar to you my maintenance washes are simple and I don't hammer down. No need to strip your tires every time.

Great comparison. I've been a fan of Darkside for a while for many of the same reasons you mentioned. Gives a great look and has good durability. However, I've had issues with sling at times even when allowing to dry overnight. I've really enjoyed ADS Tire+ and think it's one of the best dressings out so was excited to see them release a longer lasting sealant. I used Ghost for the first time on a friend's car the other day and was impressed with its ease of use. Very easy to apply (similar to Tire+). They prefer a glossier tire so I ended up doing 3 applications, waiting 10 minutes or so between, just to see what that would produce. Each subsequent application went on easier and it certainly resulted in a glossy finish. I'll be interested to see how long the extra gloss lasts and durability of 3 applications. Looking forward to applying it on my car with one application. As someone who also likes KCx PSS, I've been very impressed with Nasiol Detailer Shine. I think Detailer Shine is very similar to PSS in many ways but seems to be more durable. Ease of application is insane as you mentioned and it's currently been on my car for going on 3 weeks and it's still hanging on.

Those new detail factory brushes look incredible. They are on my list of Christmas present ideas for my wife (Hint hint.....LOL). Thanks for posting. This was some good information. I currently use Darkside myself, but I have been wanting to try the entire Armour Detail Supply line of products as I have heard they are some of the best on the market today. My guess on the "blue tracer" you talk about in the video. About five years ago when the 'long term' dressings first appeared through Optimum Polymer Technologies and also another boutique brand down in Texas I think it was both released their "long term" dressings, they both had that exact same "blue tint" or noticeable blue hue when you applied them. My guess is that it's some sort of chemical ingredient that gives the longer term durability. A few others on the market over the years had that same unusual blue hue that disappears as the product dries on the surface of the tire. The only thing I don't like about Darkside is that it's too oily which I understand is the nature of the beast so to speak with a solvent based dressing. I do like the water based longer durability dressings that I have tried and I am definitely going to give Armour Detail Supply's a try in the very near future.
