I was super excited when I saw Arrma has dove head first into the small scale RC cars world when they released the Granite Grom Mega 1/18 truck👌

All of my DIY carbon, aluminium or polycarbonate parts are cut with a jigsaw and drilled with a hand drill.
Most of my materials like Carbon Fibre, Aluminium, polycarbonate and hardware like screws, bolts and nuts are purchased from Ebay Australia but most of what I use is easily found just by Google searching the material or hardware you require.

It is a wicked little buggy hey😁 But edit that fast? It takes me 2 days minimum to produce a video mate, HOURS of editing as I don't have a PC and never edited before starting my KZbin channel. All my videos are a mission to make😬😅

I feel you on that one!! Editing takes me like 5 days. I still work full-time though. I feel your struggle editing is a pain in the but and I do it on my phone. I'm saving up for a PC! It seemed fast to me! I like your channel mate!!👍 I can't wait to see the granite bumpers on it!

Oh yes it would take a bit of extra time when working full time and if you have any other obligations that come first. My struggles are all based around my mental disabilities which effect everything from my self confidence to restricted travel, I won't go into it as many people wouldn't understand but most just don't want to know😄 But yes I get very frustrated that I find it hard to work better and faster. Hopefully it will get easier for you with time and practice😊

Yeah mate it's one of the most stable 1/18 or 1/16 buggies I've had, if it keeps its stability with a brushless kit it will be awesome😁

Do not buy this if you live in Canada or the Earth period There is such a bullwanka situation going on at Horizon hobby website The in stock and out of stock button has a mind of its own and the messages we get back from horizon hobby state just this. If we email we will deal with further time delays and issues Like WTF Horizon Really why’s that So I email them and ask and again the email comes back The computer can’t figure if it’s in stock or not Lolololopolop Get A Grip No Way So what’s the deal then I’ll tell ya There’s little care to fix this Why it’s a tiny 1/16 kid car and definitely ain’t no 1/5 scale money making model so why make it a priority to sort it out. Well they don’t show a lick of care about these small cars. I’m very upset with their multiple responses And I hope no one else goes through this like I have

I love the point and shoot handling! Looks to be build with some awesome and robust materials! Love how clean it stays. 22mph on a small brushed set up is pretty impressive! Makes me wonder if they’ll be producing brushless versions of these? Awesome unboxing and overview buddy. Great job!💯👊🏼😎

Yeah I think Arrma aswell as a few other companies have definitely put in the hard yards when it comes to geometry and all round setup👌 I also wonder if they will be bringing out brushless version, I have a funny feeling they won't but that's just a feeling. Thanks Robbie😁

I was lucky to get a Grom Granite at my local shop in November. I ran like 30 packs through it and it's a beast. Starting to rust on spots because I run it through mud puddles lol. I oil it and clean it but still it's showing signs of heavy use. And nothing is broken. It's quick and handles great. Gotta get one of these ASAP. My local hobby shop got 12 of the mini Typhons last Tuesday, they sold in one day😮. So I'll have to wait until the next shipment.

Trust me I'm still shocked how quick it arrived, all I can say is well done Modelflight.com, they are onto it😁 And yeah the fan was definitely needed! Already filmed part of the brushless convert and test vid but need to go back out tomorrow and film a little more, I bent the motor shaft jumping over people🤭 Man I thought I'd be well and done by now so to see 4k at all is AMAZING! Honestly the biggest achievement of my life as little as it actually is😆 Can't thank you enough for the support mate🙏👊

Yeah I'm working on the second vid now, hopefully have it finished by the morning😅 More to come and I got like 4 or 5 other vids ready to upload so plenty of content at the moment. If I could produce a video in a day I'd upload daily but I can't so I kinda film and edit a bunch over time and slowly upload them at a pace I can sort of maintain.

Simply the quality over most other cars this size is worth it in my opinion, actual steel gears compared to cast junk like budget brands.

Yeah I think people overlook the fact that brands like Arrma actually use decent quality materials THROUGHOUT their builds even on mini cars and design basically all their own stuff so of course your paying more that cheap weak cars.

The emb is 239usd or 362aud here in Australia🤯 no chance for what is essentially a little better version of a wltoys that you can get for 100aud🤔 The groms are 229aud or 150usd here.

@rccrazy It is still very tempting. I keep looking at them. The price isn't bad. I'm not sure how it would handle on the gravel driveway or road. The grass would probably be off limits. I think that I want to get the 1/8 3S size one first.

This would do OK on a gravel driveway and fine onroad but longer grass this would struggle with. I think a 3s or 4s would be a better option all round for you yes😊

Yes typical buggy attitude really especially low powered, in all honesty it was most likely my fault for hitting the jumps too fast and having no throttle left to correct the car. I'll try the Granite wheels, that's the biggest I'll go with this car but a brushless kit should help heaps with air control👌

@@rccrazy I know what you mean. Brushless with bigger tires fixes that, right? 🙂 I’m very interested what it can do. The Granite Grom looks like fun, but maybe too short. This might provide the added stability/predictabilty it needs. I heard more “Groms” are coming. A Kraton might be perfect.

@tyrellcorp2118 brushless will definitely help yes, bigger wheels as long as the chassis can still bottom out, don't want every other part taking the stress essentially the shocks, easily break or bend a shock if the piston slams into the shock cap once let alone over and over😬 And yes longer chassis definitely adds a little predictability that's for sure and in some cases stability. I heard the next Grom would be a short course truck😯 A Kraton would be SAAAWEET though😅
