If I was demoing those products, people would think I was high... Very cool knives, and Russel is a very cool guy :D Doubly cool as this manufacturer has the balls to demo pre-production products, so many do not :( Excellent video, I am working my way through several days-worth in one go, and this is the first company(ies) that has given me serious attention and who does not make stuff that you need to rob a bank to afford...

Rene Lesch I’m happy for you guys that you’ll be able to enjoy some of these designs. Your knife laws really suck. I live in Louisiana and we can basically walk around with swords if we want to.
@ChuckBeefOG5 жыл бұрын
Alexander LeBlanc In Canada we can walk around with a sword as long as it is open and visible, but dont you dare put a 4” folder in your pocket. 3.5” concealment or less.

Chuck Beef can you carry a locking blade?
@CyberTrucker19955 жыл бұрын
Rene Lesch, What are you allowed to carry in Germany?
@renelesch62445 жыл бұрын
CyberTrucker1995 first of all otf are completely illegal, then we have to differenciate between owning a knife and carrying a knife. We can pretty much own every knife (expect those who are illegal: otf, Bali, etc.). The real problem comes when you want to carry a knife: You are allowed to only Carry knives that you are not able to lock with one hand... there are a lot more regulations also regarding fixed blades.....

I'm really excited for the slipjoint Archaeo. I don't have any legal reasons for it, but I really love modern one handed opening knives with a slip joint mechanism. Too many companies only focus on modern traditional knives that take a step backwards without pocket clips and one handed use. I find it a lot more convenient and fun to use when there's no lock to worry about, and it's not like a need a robust lock to open up packages from BladeHQ anyway.

I think the non locking double detent knives are a great idea from a fidget stand point. There are many knife collectors out there like myself who like fidgety knives. If I need something for harder use, I can reach for something else, but for flipping, and cutting open packages etc, those are a fantastic idea.
@prepared_hippie52055 жыл бұрын
So far from all the shot show videos you guys have done this year I’m most excited about Artisan and Cjrb. Some companies are just taking previous models and upgrading steel or locking mechanisms ie: spyderco, sog ect and these guys are trying completely new things with a majority all new designs which I think is awesome. Way to go artisan for thinking about us budget friendly people who just need a good user blade. Love it can’t wait to see stuff arrive in stores! 🤙

Same for me here in Germany. We got some weird knive laws. We're allowed to carry a fixed blade up to 4,7 inches, but even a half inch utility blade is considered a forbidden weapon as soon as it's one hand opening and locked.

I like the CJRB stuff, but I wish they would use a different steel from time to time other than just D2.
@blueeyeswhitedragon98394 жыл бұрын
DontBotherNone :- D2 is perfectly adequate for EDC. But an upgrade in blade steel would probably double the price on these knives. I've found that the heat treat is more important than the steel type, and CJRB does have the heat treat dialed in.
