Thank you, our team has worked hard to to bridge the our gaming series alongside many of the enthusiast niche features/benefits of customer enthusiast keyboards. This is an evolution and continuation of what we have been doing throughout the year with models like our ROG FALCHION ACE, ROG STRIX FLARE II ANIMATE and ROG SCOPE series where we have phased in items like pre lubed and binned switches, sound dampening foam, improved stabs, hot swap PCB but also maintained manly elements traditional gamers have wanted. We look forward to the feedback and response from the community and media in 2023.

Very impressive indeed, but it would be nice if there was a cheaper option (the Azoth is 300 bucks) without the screen, the knob and wireless functionality. For me at least, these three features are cool but kinda gimmicky and nothing I would really need in a keyboard (for some, these features will be worth it ofc)

I just bought this and am not 100% sure about keeping it. The main issues for me are (1) the 3-way button should just be a knob. Even if it's a scroll knob/scroll wheel, so much better for adjusting volume. This button thing is no bueno. (2) The OLED screen should have more options without needing Armoury Crate. Why can't I set it to show a clock as a built-in setting? Why is the default to always the ROG logo constantly reloading and animating? I don't want that thing running nonstop while I'm typing and not even looking at it... (3) can you please start using classier keys/fonts for your gaming keyboards. "Gaming" doesn't have to mean teenage cyberpunk. These letters/fonts are UGLY. If the keys and font were better, this could totally be used for a productivity board. Even better, have an option without the gimmicky OLED screen that doesn't serve any real purpose. Then you could have a real knob or scroll wheel and a dedicated delete button closer to the F12 key while also allowing dedicated home and end keys along with page up and page down. Why the heck is "Ins" a dedicated key over home/end? What a silly choice.

We do offer our own internal design switches both ROG NX and ROG RX switches our NX switches are pre binned a rarity amongst pre builds as most do not guarantee force deviation consistency. Also pre lubed and we have different actuation/reset points. Switches are complex though and highly personal but as a whole we feel we have a very solid set of switches that most users and many enthusiasts would be entirely fine with. On the other end we have our RX optical switches which offer many benefit such as reduction keycap wobble, brighter more consistent illumination, fast and consistent actuation and stability.

Harpe Ace is really nice. Has made my GPX and other mice redundant. It has a nice shape, though i wish it was some 4-6mm wider at the grip point. But as much as i like what Asus have done with Azoth, i cannot live without my dedicated Home/End/PrntScr keys (which is pretty much standard on most 75% keebs). Fuck the red switches though. Once you go black, you never go back bby! And i completely second the notion that Wooting releasing a 75% would be massive. Currently eyeing DrunkDeer A75, but their hall effect switches seem a bit wonky.

To see a gaming keyboard that is actually pretty appealing to enthusiasts as well feels like a dream. Most keyboards I've ever seen are either completely gamer-orientated and not appealing to enthusiasts in the slightest, or completely enthusiast-orientated and has some setbacks that might bother gamers (other than a HELLA lot of RGB). I just hope that BadSeed Tech means an actually affordable price point by a "steal" because I feel like keyboard enthusiasts are the type of people who would call bank-breaking price tags "dirt cheap". Edit: Apparently the new keyboard will be $250, which no matter how many features you get for the money, dooesn't sound like a "steal". I think enthusiasts are so desensitized to above AirPods level prices for keyboards, they'd call $300 for a "better-sounding" and "better-feeling" mechanical keyboard "dirt cheap" like it's actually $30. The custom mech keyboard world is literally the California of the overall keyboard universe. Wanna cheap out? F u. You must destroy your bank like the rest of us for anything acceptable.

I just bought it and Armoury Crate ruined my install of Windows 10 (crashes and game bugs), couldn't install on another Windows 10 PC, and is the most bloatware garbage when I got it installed on my Win 11 machine. It has 14 processes open and uninstalling it is a pain. And most of all, on this $250 keyboard, you can't even save 1 lighting profile to the keyboard. So unless you want the default profiles you must keep Armoury Crate installed. It's NOT worth it.
