@@fountainpentherapy I'm very interested to hear your views and opinions, Vincenzo. That's what is so interesting about these pen reviews. Everyone approaches them from different angles. Some have an engineering perspective; and others just enjoy the aesthetics and ease of writing. Hope you had a great vacation and a good golf game.

Very nice pen review! It’s a gorgeous pen. I was surprised at the size when compared to others. Stub 1.1mm nibs are so much fun! Enjoy your pen and ink. We do learn a lot from Garry! 👏🏻

Greetings from Australia. I managed to order mine through a Chinese seller on Australian Ebay. I could only purchase the pen in red, but I had several nib options. I didn't want to take a chance on the stub nib because I believe it is a first for a Chinese manufacturer. I opted for a medium nib. Thanks for your video.

I do like that green colour scheme. And it has a stub nib too! That giant Asvine and C2000 stamp though. Why? I hope they do something more subtle in any later revisions 😅

A lot of people have the same opinion. It really doesn't bother me. Mabe Asvine was trying to ensure that consumers didn't confuse their pen with the Hongdian pen! 😅

Yey!! Awesome review Teresa! ❤️👏 The pen looks really nice, the wood pattern and color tones are nice, but not more than in the Hongdian A7, in my opinion. The nib seems to perform really great, hmm... Now it's even hard for me to decide on the nib :)). Thank you for this review and enjoy the pen! ✨

@@AlinBalanean hey, thanks for watching! I hope to get my Hongdian A7 in the mail, by next weekend and in that review, I will also compare the two pens. I wrote with the 2000 all evening and I've decided that the nib writes more like a broad than a stub because it is such a soft nib. It doesn't give you the ' sharp edges' if that makes any sense, that a stub nib does. Nahvalur stubs and Twisbi stubs; to me; are also soft stubs. So this Asvine nib reminds me of a Twisbi writing experience.

@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 Thank you very much for these details, it definitely makes sense I prefer a wet nib in general and I appreciate if it's a bit bouncy, from all my 7 Asvines, only one it's a fine(which is wet enough and I really like it), the rest are medium, so I guess I will go with a medium in this case. I noticed that on your reviews the nibs tend to leave a wider line somehow. I don't remember which paper you are using. I am not into EF and broad nibs, my writing is also quite messy and small. Anyways, the new nibs seem to be very well tuned. Asvine is doing a great job again! 🙏✨🙂

@@AlinBalanean I use a variety of notebooks with different types of paper. I used a Cosmo Air Light notebook in this review. I've used a Hobonichi Techo with tomoe river paper, Iroful from Japan, and a little Pelikan Hub notepad, and I don't know what kind of paper it has. I use inks that are more free flowing also. I can't abide a dry ink.

Very nice review. Do you know is Asvine is essentially the same as Majohn /Moonman?
@teresaharris-travelbybooks556414 күн бұрын
@@dansv1 No, I don't believe so, although I don't have any insider knowledge on the Chinese fountain pen industry. Very few people do. It's common knowledge that a lot of these companies; including some American based pen companies; share the same OEM; or original equipment manufacturers. I have noticed some merging of the Asvine/ Hongdian names on Amazon, but that might just be an Amazon thing.

No matter how stabilized it is, I don't trust wood on a fountain pen. It's a shame they didn't make it in a transparent acrylic, maybe piston filled.
@teresaharris-travelbybooks556414 күн бұрын
@@bradwavemb I was so hesitant about the Hongdian A7; initially; that I didn't order it. That was because I have the Hongdian N24 that had the wood cap cracking issue. But when I saw Une Fontaine de Plumes video of the A7 and saw how nice it looked, I was having some regrets. I'm glad that Hongdian has brought it back, and my pen is due in by next weekend. What I'm trying to say is that when the Asvine C2000 was released, I didn't hesitate to order. I'm willing to take my chances. Regarding the N24; that pen writes beautifully even with a cracked cap and the nib has never dried out, between uses. Mabe Asvine will produce a P20 in different acrylics with the stub nib. I'm on board for that!

@teresaharris-travelbybooks5564 I'm probably too paranoid than I should. At the end of the day I always carry around my Eco, which is known for cracking. Lol. Yep, the #8 opens the doors for many possibilities.
