I dont understand why I should pay 14000 extra for the features "pro pack" , but they advertise the features with price 12990 .After paying 1,29,900 I still have to pay 14000(yearly basis I assume) Instead I would have paid 8000 extra for the bigger battery (3.9kwh)

This is not an annual expense, it is a one-time cost. If you do not require the features, you do not have to purchase it.

Have you seen the Ather 450S​ without Pro pack ? It has no UI, just a bar to tell battery level and it is locked in Sports or higehest mode, so range is further reduced. @@freezinghawk

Ather is first professional ev in india. That time also their models are costly and extra features we need to pay extra. But after ola trend is changed in ev. Ather need to revise thier all models to give more range. No pro pack nonsense. If they continue like this still way behind ola. Other side tvs need to introduce icube st model. Ola need to improve their after sales network.

Ather is the best example that getting a head start doesn't mean that you will be a market leader. Ola is way ahead of Ather even though they started late. Ola has penetrated in tier 3 cities while I hardly see only a handful of Ather scooters in tier 2 cities . It seems Ather team has found a comfort zone in Bangalore and Karnataka and doesn't want to put in the effort to expand throughout the country. Even though Ather is no doubt a better and reliable product than Ola anyday but penetrating the market right down to tier 3 cities surely makes a statement for Ola.

Firstly ather is not a better product but a well rounded product because of the lead they had. Now it's vanishing. Ola S1X at 80k will kill competition of ola if the competition don't innovate. Also Ather tech is not at par with Ola tech. Only ola service is bad now.

my concern for E-scooters and 2 wheelers: all EV 2-wheelers are open from all areas and what if a scooter is parked outside and getting charged and then rain starts to fall.... will these scooters and their charging ports and other electronics experience any kind of damage ?

nope i'm using from past 1 year . no problem at all but check suspension don't buy any ev 2 wheeler with stiff/ hard suspension. our running cost has been come down to 300-500 per month from ₹5000 per month on our maestro edge. still i like maestro than our EV.

I own an Ather 450+(gen2) from last 1.5 years so, In the rains, we put a body cover on it and place the charger on the seat. Till date no issues are seen, bought in last yr march of 2022, so 2 rain season we have not experienced any problems. The screen is also water proof, screen is also working fine till now.

@@varunsoni7873 we use for our business daily run is approx 40-50 kms. electricity bill has incresed max to max ₹500 monthly. whereas while on petrol we need ₹200 petrol for 1.5 day (i.e ₹4000 ) monthly. if your daily run is low ev is a useless purchase.

Its awful to see people who're asking for 200+ range in this Ather 450X form factor. Ather business model is different from ola or other ev's in the market, its all about grids. I paid Rs.31/- for 26 minutes charge at a local grid using the pre-paid balance from my Ather app. Its almost half the cost of petrol and its a way forward for an EV brand like Ather to build an eco-system. Ather's recent collab with BPCL for charging grids is really appreciated and they should continue this momentum.

Bhai le sakte ho, mere pass bhi ather hai gen2 wala, just ek cheez consider karna... range, mera daily run sirf 18km ka tha one way aur mere office me bhi charger tha.. so Ather mere liye perfect choice tha.. ek aur cheez yad rakhna koi bhi EV leneke pehele, har 24 hours me EV me 2-3% ka battery drop hota hai, so 100 km ka charge aaj kiya toh parso tk 100km nhi rahega, 96 tk drop ho sakta hai depending on weather conditions. Aur ek cheez, if aapka run more than 25km hoga toh mat lena Ather coz Ather sporty scooter banaya hai so suspension kafi stiff hai, aapko har ek road ka changes feel hoga... more than 30km ke liye comfortable nhi hai ather currently
