I tested this with a ACE and a M249 on test server and got noticably tighter spray on both multiple times. 0:36 shows 4 sprays much tighter then with tac stock, with one outlier that makes the pattern much larger. I think you are making a statistical error here and basing an average on 1 outlier out of 5, rather then realizing the pattern for heavy stock was better 4/5, ie 80% of the time you sprayed, which is a large improvement! I also suspect some other factor might have influenced that 1 time the pattern significantly deviated.

Either somehow it doesn't add any effect, or they forgot to add whatever its effect should be. Regardless of that, whenever someone hears about "Heavy Stock" what it should do is reduce recoil in general because its meant to add stability while shooting, and perhaps at the cost of mobility or ADS speed. I think the point was to show that it doesn't really help with the vertical recoil, since the lateral recoil is a wee bit more random. But maybe that's it, more reliable horizontal recoi In the first half of the bullets. That might be the point of the heavy stock. Either way, it's just not good enough for us to really care about using it. The difference is minuscule.
@rolsen13042 жыл бұрын
@@Lksz-l9k No, this is equal to having a compensator rather then nothing on the barrel. And it stacks with the compensator. You saying you don't bother picking up a comp?

@@williamwiltsey3184 Running M416 or ACE with no other attachment then the heavy stock should tell the picture quick. Also, since the stock affects both horisontal and vertical recoil as well as scope bounce there's bound to be synergy with certain grips. Might for instance make the halfgrip or lightweight or even angled the overall best grip rather then the vertical grip.
@verde7595 Жыл бұрын
@@Lksz-l9k It's hard to tell in the video because it's sped up but the heavy stock improves recoil recovery, not recoil. The barrel is less "bouncy" and sticks to a tighter line most of the time, with it returning to position sooner. This is very clear in the single-fire test where while it doesn't improve the amount of recoil itself, it does help with recovery. It's not a big difference, no, but it definitely is one and semi-casuals like me can definitely feel it, especially on guns with piss-poor recovery or ejaculate bullets like the Vector or M249.

Appears that it limits horizontal recoil early in the spray vs tactical stock. If you look at the spray lines near the point of origin they are in a tighter group.
@ActualCoverage2 жыл бұрын
That tighter grouping is what makes it better for an actual spray, Try spraying all your shots in the centre with both. My friends and I were testing it out on test server, and we all found our shot grouping was better with the heavy stock with are usual sprays. The heavy stock may encourage people to start using different grips with the tightness from the heavy stock.
