NEW AudioControl Speakers Unboxing - Pacific Northwest Series 6 1/2" and 6x9 Speakers

Hey Guy! If you've ever spoke with us on the phone or online, then you know we like our AudioControl products. Very much, in fact. I've been using their products for a large part of my career and with great results. So when they announced that they were coming out with speakers we were very excited to see what they had in stock. We don't normally do product reviews or unboxings, but we decided to open them up with y'all and see what they're about. I want to get a set of these and see how they compare to JL C2s. They are in the same ball park price wise (actually a little less), if these sound a lot better with factory heads they're very enticing. Having a 6x9 component variant is nice too, lot of trucks are set up that way now a days and they're a good option if you want to keep costs down.

I love and use Audiocontrol products but those large magnets on the 6.5s will definitely cause clearance problems in car doors.

Yeah, they're something to keep an eye on when planning a system. I don't think it will be too much of a concern.

@@ekimandersom4478 some cars have issues with the window lift mechanism being close to the magnets. They will definitely not fit Honda/Acura doors and rear decks without sheet metal trimming.

How do they sound? I can't find any videos on the performance of the speakers. Are they more for SPL or SQ?

Both? They sound good, but under real power they get loud. I'm not sure I would stick them in one category, but I would say they lean more towards SQ.

We love AudioControl's amplifiers, and their LC and D amps have a ton of power and controls to really dial the system in.

I'm trying to justify paying 800 dollars for two sets of speakers I've never heard of before. Did I get jippped ?

No one is forcing you to buy anything. We're just giving our opinion on some solid products. I'm sure that you can find a shop close to you that would have a way for you to listen to them and make your own decisions from there.

I really don't know. We do way more trucks than we do cars They give you all of the dimensions in their manual so you can make a dummy speaker out of cardboard and see how it fits in your car. It is a big magnet, so some cars will definitely need some work.
