I Love my Medeli AKX10! I Bought my Medeli Akx10 about 3 months ago and am always looking for online demos and tutorials, so thank you! I've had Yamaha PSR and yamaha Tyros, Tyros 2 and Tyros 5. The Medeli AKX10 at 21lbs, it's 15 lbs lighter than Yamaha Tyros 5, (35.274 pounds). It's 7 lbs lighter than Yamaha Genos, (13.0 kg - 28 lb, 11 oz) and it has great sounding speakers!

Have you noticed any quality issues? Is the keybed still smooth? i.e the keys not making any clunky noises? software problems etc?
@ManuelHernandez-bg8bl10 ай бұрын
@@Papirind26 It still plays good. No issues. I have not done any software upgrades or hacks. Also I'm not ruff on my keyboards. My Tyros 2 and 5 are still like new.

Good to hear. Unfortunately I must have received a faulty unit back in 2021 as 2 of the (1 black 1 white) keys were making a clunky sound so decided to return it and purchased a Yamaha PSR SX700 instead. @@ManuelHernandez-bg8bl

@@Papirind26 That's a good keyboard. Does it have vocal harmony? I use my keyboard for homeworship and playing at convalescent homes. The medallion works good for that except no vocak harmony. What's really good about Yamaha products is if you like a rhythm in a PSR you will find it or something similar in the Tyros and then in the Genos.Im thinking of getting a used yamaha psr-sx900 because it runs on batteries. Good luck with your choice of instrument and keep on playing!

Thanks again for this pure and honest review. It's just like you invited us all and said 'hey, I've got this new keyboard and want to give it a go. Just come in, listen and watch :-) If Medeli would put your advise into a new firmware revision (for as much as possible) this would absolutely be a killer. At a curremt retail price od €695 here in The Netherlands it's a no brainer for those tht cannot send thousands on a Xenos,

Somehow I think the way you look at this keyboard is a PSR-S900 or if not the PSR 2100 in terms of sound engine, but with the software and feature set straight from the SX700/900. On that front, (and particularly the price point) it seems to be extremely appealing, and a no-brainer if you cannot stretch beyond Yamaha's own SX600 series.

Like other arranger keyboards this seems to be oriented towards middle class or aspirational middle class musical taste dominated by industry. I'm not hearing punk or new wave that dominated the 70s and 80s or grunge which dominated the 90s and shoe gaze which dominated the early 2000s. These are more working class styles and are considered lowbrow and tend to be looked down upon by middle class and upper middle class. The fascinating thing is that styles reflective in world music are often working class styles and are included due to their exotic nature.

Incredibly popular in Latin South American countries if you try to find Facebook or KZbin user groups 95% are non english speakers. . I love mine it's hardware kicks others but especially the screen and hydrasynth style knobs. I tend to use it for drumming backing and turn accompliment off as I prefer to pay myself . I find the sounds very nice sax and flutes ulinuse slot and downloaded some better EPs I've tweaked the standard sounds too. The one thing soundwise I don't like is the lack of rotory speaker in the organ you can toggle to speed up and slow down . There is no Leslie effect or brake which sucks big time. I tweaked the basses the speakers are amazing. As 8bdsidctge quality of the screen is better more responsive than even a Geno's. You can convert styles with grandsuite software and you can program your own with that or directly in the hardware. It some quirks that I find a pain I never seem to be able to synth it with my DAW for instance.

Asians like the hard crisp sounds it was a problem with their Hi-Fi amps and speakers in the early days. They learned over a period of time the Anglo world likes it warmer and more full-bodied. We may see a change in this keyboard in the near future when they get some Anglo ears in the factory. It is manufactured in Hong Kong so it is basically made for Chinese purchase. It is possible Yamaha doesn't have a patent on its keyboard layout so it was open for a copy. In Chinese eyes why reinvent the wheel.

Hello leigh, yamaha and korg can not beat this. 760mb sampling memory, vocoder, the style and sampling software, buildin soundcard use with daw, check the effects section i think rotery is available for reet instruments. It is indeed not a baby genos because that would still cost +2000 euro, pounds or dollars. I sold my korg pa800 because this thing is superior for the money. The only let down are some voices, the keys and the format. I would like professional keys and 76 keys. So my solution is sampling and to use an 88 midi keyboard and use midi and split the voices to upper and lower layer keybed. 🙏

There are two levels of Equalizer. One specifiek for the sound or kit and the other one is global.

The sweet flute and 9tger sounds with sweet in the name sound very similar to Yamaha sounds. Doesn't seem to have the DX style EPs down they are just ok. The acoustic piano is better than Roland's in a lot of their systems. It's a steal at the price and the screen is perfect

Well, watching your videos Leigh is usually a very nice and enjoyable experience, BUT with this one you were rather annoying and very simple, especially about that side-stick issue! What are you talking about?!?! Isn't that what is mostly used in Main 1 and even 2, by all arrangers, Yamaha included?! So, what is so laughable about it?!?!?! I didn't understand. Overall, I felt your comments were rather annoying and often I thought derogatory. Other than that, keep up the good job!
