Kinda going though the same issues except yours actually started. Changed out 2 fuel pumps and a fuel filter and its a no start. Checked main gas line going into the trottle body and im getting gas with a good pressure so i checked the pulse going to my injectors GREAT.. buying some injectors and a seal kit etc and hopefully that'll be it. Definitely getcha a gas filter tho😊

A good time up gapd plugs fuel filter fuel cleaner and check injectors hopefully they didn't get trash stuck in the or on the screens in the pintles. And those like the rotary n miatas get messed up mass air flows from time to time. A good spray cleaner from crc might help it w an air filter swap in the tune up.

Good job on the axel...Since you got it cranked up and running now. It sounds like it has a clogged fuel filter, or a bad fuel injector, or injectors. Try to take them out and soak them in some seafoam overnight, then reinstall them and see if that fixes it without having to buy injectors. You can clean them by soaking them a lot of times and it's successful. Go ahead and replace the fuel filter as well, then add about 10 or so bucks of gas in it and see what happens. You definitely wanna have a decent amount of gas in it with that new fuel pump, don't need to put unnecessary work on it with low amounts of gas. Hope it works. I'll be looking out for your next video. Check all vacuum hoses/lines as well, that can cause vehicles to run rough as shit, but yet still crank and run.

Check for vacuum leaks. Definitely change the fuel filter because if it's plugged, you will burn up that new pump. It could be a number of things, tho honestly, it could be the air fuel sensor my truck did the same thing it was the filter I've even had the fuel pump relay go bad another thing it could be is a dieing ecu I gotta keep the code reader plugged into mine or it dies

Change those hose clamps on fuel pump to oetiker clamps. Also did you replace the fuel filter yet? If you have to change the fuel pump, you should replace filter as well.

Besides electronics, cars aren't super complicated. Replace plugs, replace coil-over plugs, check cylinder compression when doing plugs, replace injectors, fuel filter. Check cams and timing belt. At 255k, timing belt is sus.

My guess is the idle control valve makes it hard to start . Jumpy idle and throttle response will be garbage. That's my guess
