It's funny you say you don't know much about Rhipsalis in this video but you're probably the best wealth of knowledge on them now. Thanks for all the info and due diligence.

Hi there. I’m new to your channel. I just love it. I’m also fascinated with rhipsalis. They are so cool and weird at the same time. I’m gonna be on the hunt for that clavatas very soon. Thanks for the great video.

Thanks! If you are in the US you can get pretty nice one from the link below. It’s mislabeled on the site scroll through the pictures to the blooms that verify it is R. clavata the more slender form. www.horticult.com/product-page-oskc4/rhipsalis-capilliformis-old-man-s-beard

Omg I'm the same way I get OBSESSED, have you ever seen a columnea gloriosa? I HAD TO HAVE IT, still obsessed lol. Clavata and hatiora lutea (bradei...you know the one) too, had to have it. What is the one you don't think you'll have? I'm pretty skilled at plant hunting lol

Yes, I used to have one many, many years ago. It’s the orange flowers they always do me in too. I’m not sure I’ll ever have any of the Lymanbensonia. Sometimes it just seems like that and suddenly you find yourself with them somehow. I never thought I would have Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri but somehow I ended up with it. Never say never 😂💚🌱!

@@EpiphyticCacti I tend to be partial to foliage over flowers, I love the gloriosas fuzzy purple teddy bear leaves. I mean I love flowers too, but I pick the plant usually for leaves. Huh that is a obscure one! Can't say I've seen that, is it grown in cultivation? Do you know about the ISI plant introduction catalog? It is through the Huntington botanical gardens and every year they sell plants to introduce them more into cultivation. They always have some epiphytic cacti so keep an eye on that maybe!

@@laurie.n2487 that’s interesting about the ISI catalogs, I didn’t know that was a thing so I’ll keep an eye on it. A few of them are in cultivation but more commonly in Europe. There are a few private collections here that might have them in the US. Really some epiphytic cacti species are so rare in cultivation they are basically mythical 😂! 💚🌱

Hi!! Could you share the seller? I love all of this plants!
@EpiphyticCacti3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ana, the seller was a member of a Facebook buy, trade, sell group, not an regular independent seller so I can’t provide a name. There are many Facebook buy, trade, sell Rhipsalis and epiphytic cacti related groups, try joining a few if you are on Facebook and asking if anyone has what it is you are looking for. Someone usually does because private sellers tend to also hang out in those groups. I hope that helps! 💚🌱

where did you find your rhipsalis? Sorry for all the questions
@EpiphyticCacti4 жыл бұрын
Jennifer B no worries! I don’t mind the questions at all. I managed to catch the rhipsalis posted for sale in a facebook group: facebook.com/groups/474169189262776/. I’m sure if you search for facebook rhipsalis groups you will find ones that specifically sell rhipsalis too!

Hi Sharon! I found them on eBay in the US, in the spring if you search on there from time to time they pop up! 💚🌱

I don’t often see pereskiopsis grafts for sale! I got these from a seller on eBay: www.ebay.com/usr/supershop408
