New BACKYARD TEE BOX, why not? AUGUSTA DID IT!

This has actually been part of the master plan for over a year now. The new tee box creates a 320 yard par 4 that requires a precision short layup shot or the big hitters can try to clear the creek hoping for a shot at eagle. Watch out for the narrow “chute” out of the woods. The trees can eat up your tee shot. We used synthetic tee box turf because of the lack of sunshine.

Grass is gonna be a pain in the woods. I would consider gravel run to the box.

I planted some shade mix on the West rim and it’s doing decent. I plan to encompass the tee area with some gravel mulch. The lead up path would look sweet with some grass though.

Good looking tee box, nice job. Synthetic turf on tee areas is what I would do , if and when! Water and maintenance cost savings make it very practical. Durability is the question, we will find out.
