New Balance 880v13 Shoe Review: Is It Better than the New Balance 1080v12?

Tried both on in stores and decided on the 880. It just fit my foot better and I also preferred the feel of it too.

I've had both of these shoes. They're both worse than their predecessors. Am I the only one having problems with the chunky thick soles. They make me feel like as if I'm running on heals. It's not just NB, it is everywhere. There's no hiding from chunky foam soles. My joints hurt from lack of cushion if I buy thinner foam soles. Who is with me on the excessive use of cheap foams. I wish they can bring back better mixture of hard and soft materials like before. I only post to see if these influential reviews also agree with me and maybe change will be on the way.

You are not the only one. The last 2 new balances I bought were much much worse than the version that came before it, and this goes all the way back 10 years ago. The V13s tongues destroy my ankles, and hurt my knees when I walk. They’re the flimsiest pieces of shyt. There is no way to make them comfortable no matter how you lace them. I get much less pain wearing my freaking crocks with zero ankle support, and I just had knee replacements…..I just ordered another pair of the 880 v11s. They still are nowhere near as good than whatever I had before (can’t remember the model), but they are the best version that I know that exists

Apparently we’re not the only ones. Did some research. People claim the Diadora Vortices are the best shoe out, just ordered a pair and cancelled my New Balance order so we’ll see

Hii, Cna tou give me some advise I need shoes for walking arround 2 hours and i have flat foot So i need firm shoes Which one i prefer choose? Vongo v6 or 880v13?

Should I go up a half size in 880v13? How about in 880v12?

I had to try 2 pairs before I decided. Yes the Version 12 does have a slightly wider midsole and the upper does bunchup a little when you cinch tight the laces, but on hot days when my feet swell, I really enjoy the roomy toe box. The version 13 looks narrower for sure. If I were buying, I would either order 2 pairs and return one from an online store.....or go in person and try them on. Good luck in your search.

I had the foam 880 v11 originally, then tried the foam 880 v13 when the v11s wore out. The tongue on the v13s is the most painful flimsiest piece of shyt tongue I’ve ever experienced on any shoe in life. It is nothing like the v11s. That makes 3 consecutive times that New Balance has made a much worse shoe with better technology
