Good video! I would recommend against waiting for a sale (unless you are a hawk on the resale market) because if you look at the 993, that shoe actually went up about $15/$20 and it's 16 years old. 😢

I had to size up .5 on these due to having a wider foot. Tried true to brannock in store and it was like chinese foot binding

Lmao. I had to do the same thing due to a wide toebox/midfoot. That is only because they don't offer a 12.5 which I need. I can wear a 990v3 or v4 in a 12 no problem even though im a tts 12.5. But the 991v2s I have to go with a 13 since there is no 12.5. Same issue with the 990v6 in Teddy Santis models. They dont offer a 12.5. The GR colors like the Grey, Black, and Navy pair are offered in a 12.5 and multiple widths which help tremendously.

I had to go the opposite .5 down. It certainly runs longer than the OG 991. Makes sense for those with wide feet.

I have a wide foot and I took the TTS - very comfortable. Foot 29 cm, size 12US

Hey mate! I 100% agree. I bought the 990v6 half a size down and it was the right choice. Received my 991v2 this week true to size and they are next level comfortable. Straight out of the box they hit me differently in terms of softness. The material quality inside this shoe is just unmatched. The gel feeling of walking just wow. Recommend to everyone! finally have that dazzling blue, went tts and they are tight even after 5 wears :( i still prefer the 990v6 for comfort but i definitely prefer the looks/style of 991v2

They used a different mesh material for the dazzling blue colorway. It’s a little stronger than the other meshes they use. Give it a few more wears and they should be perfect!

Hi Sam, i'm disappointed about the size of 991V2, should i go for a half size or one size bigger? It's difficult to find half size bigger for 11.5 us rather than 12 us.

I would go with your true to size but if it is hard to find the half size, going a size up shouldn't be too much of a difference

Personal experience on the V1 is that it is tight on the forefoot area. More than I like it as compared to 990s

Great video! I have 998, 2002r, 576 and 990v1 all in 9. They all have differences in fit vut are all comfy (still breaking in the 998 and getting used to the extra length). Should i still run 9 in the 991v2? I find the 9 in 998 slightly narrow but its maybe because theyre so new. Cheers legend

the 998 fits very very similar to the 998. The both have a high slanted midsole pushing your toes to the front. I went true to size in both pairs and after wear they felt amazing. I would go with your usual 9

I just got my 991v2 in the mail. I went TTS and I'm happy with the fit. However, I noticed that the insole by the heel is kind of rigid. I try to smooth it with my finger and cant. Is this typical? Should i return them? Or does it smooth out over time? Sometimes I can feel the edge of the insole with my heel.

That’s very interesting, I’ve never heard of that. If you ordered them from new balance I would say you should contact them and see if you can get a new pair of insoles or trade in the shoes. I hope you can get it figured out!

Thanks. I took out the insole and see it's just wrinkled on the heel edges. Deciding not a big deal, and shoe fits great. You'd just think for that kinda money theyd be flawless. Will take your advice and at least see if they'd send replacement insoles

The 991v2 is a more gel comfort, gets more comfortable as you walk. The v6 is an instant pillow cloud comfort

As someone who has a bunion the 991v2s are way more narrow feeling than the 990v6 I would go TTS in the 991v2 and half a size down in 990v6. Also I was able to cop the blue silver pair debating on keeping them clean to resell them lol.
