*Warning for others:* These run a little short so if you're close to the limit normally I'd advise a half size up! Suggestion for the next shoe to try out: Listening to you talk about ripped laces and heel bruises gave me the perfect idea for your next shoe. Try one of the FP Footwear ones! They don't just make insoles, they have some skate shoes as well. Maybe the Neen Williams Intercept shoe?

@@SkateIntel Yeah they sell out pretty quickly. If you can't find those I recommend checking out Mark Appleyard's latest shoe. The Globe Mahalo Plus. Watch out though, they run large.

I also bought them one size up because of length. Heel feels a bit loose though (still kind of new). Feels better when I also use the top lace eyelet. Most people don't use the top lace eyelet. Wonder why that is?

If you like FP insoles go for it! I always use the stock insoles and they felt pretty good! Landed primo a few times and didn’t hurt too bad

Yo wazzup Could you review either the Lakai Carrols, Emerica Pillar, or the Straye Logan?

Lakai doesn’t make shoes in my size which is 13.. little unfortunate cause I used to love Lakai! I’ve tried on the Pillars and wasn’t a big fan of the mid tops however those Straye Logan’s look interesting. I’ve never heard of them before but they look similar to a high quality Vans shoe and for only $55! Might have to give those a try soon

That the flightless Moth Powell flight deck? I just got it and it feels weird with so much flex going on. How does it hold up?

I’ve broken it since filming this but I love the flight decks stoked they are finally making them again! I break 7 ply boards super easily and the flights just flex instead of snap. The only downside is they chip super easily.. definitely feel weird at first but I get used to them after a few sessions

You seem to use the top lace eyelet. Most people don't use the top lace eyelet. Wonder why that is? Using it feels better to me, otherwise heel feels a bit loose.

Same I prefer my shoes to fit tighter just feels more secure but to each their own 💯

Hey guys! I have been skating street for a little over two years now but have been neglecting transition this whole time lol. Are there any skateparks in the South Bay/lower east bay that you recommend in particular for learning the basics of transition? I’m looking for quarter pipes or mini bowls that are mellower so I can learn some of the basic tricks and stalls haha

@@SkateIntel Actually, I went back looked again. It depends on what color you want. I think there are some that you can find on sale. In general, it seems pretty difficult to find New Balance on sale though. I think the ones you can get for cheap are ones that people bought and returned, on Amazon anyway. I found a couple pair cheap like that. In some cases they had a different box. The shoes were new though. Only thing about New Balance is that they look nice enough that I never want to trash them skating. I don't mind thrashing something like Adidas immediately. The materials aren't as nice.
