Very good advice ty. I like most of your videos but you should definitely include more snakes and visual examples of what you are talking about

Thanks for the feedback! We've recently been looking at some of our older videos to see how we can improve as well as potential videos that could be remade. A lack of B-roll is certainly one thing we've noticed in some videos, so we will be looking to improve that in the future :)

Here in the Netherlands breeding rats cost less than buy frozen rats. It cost me some time, but that’s better than the money I’ll have to pay fore those frozen. And I try to breed just enough for my snakes.

Oh for sure it's the same way here. The start up is a little more getting the operation set up, but now I mostly just need to pay for the rat food and bedding which is very inexpensive.

Best advice for anyone that’s looking to get in is: Buy a a couple of females, they don’t have to be stacked with genes, maybe they can all be het for something. Once you have them start putting some money aside. Raise those females until they’re about a year old then with the money you put aside, buy a really power male, maybe a double visual recessive with some co-doms(I also strongly advice maybe getting a backup male too). The reason this is the best route in my opinion is because with that powerful male you can put him to those females you raised up once there about 2 years old or 1300 grams 😊😊

Double visual resesive males would allow you to work 2 projects and combine as well. Lots of potential even if breeding to visuals for other resesive genes as you can easily create triple or even quad het animals!

I just got a $6k male and he is going to a bunch of het girls that are $500-1000

I think investing big into males and then het girls with more genes is a very cost effective way to get new combos. Of course visual to visual is better but at some point if you are going to work new combos you will work with hets anyways.

Live food for me is cheap soon I'll start my own breeding of rats and I breed other bugs and reptiles so cost is cheap for me to feed my animals
@RhynosRoyals Жыл бұрын
That's good to hear it's getting more and more expensive here everyday so I like to breed to lower costs.

it definitely takes more time and effort for the rats...
@RhynosRoyals Жыл бұрын
Oh for certain! Tons of cleaning. Replacing breeders, ect. And they take nearly as much space sometimes! I mean the alternative is paying a ton for rodents but I can still complain hahaha 😆

@@RhynosRoyals at least if the snake doesn't eat, you can put them back for another day.
