Fantastic video MrB! Great to see The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers past and present! The marches played were, 1) 0:05-Star of Erin 2) 2:44-Through Bolts and Bars (Per Aspera Ad Astra) 3) 7:11-Northumbrian Airs (??) 4) 9:31-Northumbrian Airs (??) 5) 12:20-The King's Guard 6) 15:34-Guards Armoured Division 7) 19:32-Standard of St. George 8) 22:04-The Contemptibles 9) 25:29-The Seventh Royal Fusiliers 10) 28:25-Star of Erin (Could someone please tell me if I've got numbers 3 & 4 correct? Is it another version of 'Northumbrian Airs' that was usually played by the Fusiliers? Or is it a completely different march and name?

@delvinrodriguez33412 ай бұрын
@@ginkiat7268 Hello Ginkiat, I think he was upset because the Time-Beater didn't do the double taps for the cut-off, they're usually done immediately when the DM brings the Staff (mace) up. A simple mistake by the time beater, but clearly SDM Gareth wasn't happy hahaha! You can actually see a Musician next to the Time-Beater bring it to his attention, although a bit late.

What a fabulous video, Mr.Baton, so wonderful! You've made a great job filming for so long time through the City of London! A magnificent Military Parade, thanks to all members involved, thanks to the musical support of the extraordinary and excellent Irish Guards Band, led by the Incomparable Impeccable SDM Gareth Chambers. They have carried out an absolutely stunning performance and played beautiful and enjoyable marches. Really exceptional!! Thank you very much Mr.Baton, the best way to end this day!! Good night!

Super! Had been hoping someone would cover this Freedom of the City of London centenary parade by the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. (Thank you MrBaton!) A terrific showing by the RRF, lead by their axe-armed pioneers and the regiment's corps of drums. The Band of the Irish Guards were in top swaggering form too. A great occasion for the RRF.

Wow! What a fantastic video! Beautifully filmed (and certainly pleasing to the ,ahem, fan club members😌) It’s so nice to see and hear the band marching in less familiar, to the armchair viewer that is, territory. We get to see a whole different side to things and it’s wonderful. I can’t wait for Delvin to arrive with the march list! Some of the marches were new to me, well either that or I’ve just heard them very infrequently. They played “The King’s Guard” which I love, especially at 14:24 when they start to rev up, ready to get the afterburners on😍 I’m also looking forward to Vicky’s take on this, she can lead the way for the fan club members just as the SDM ,leads the way for the band😉 The whole parade was marvellous, the pride evident throughout, with the veterans bringing up the rear with their chests puffed out as in the days of yore. Thank you everso much MrB, I have thoroughly enjoyed this video and appreciate your time and efforts to bring the event to those of us in far flung places.👏🏻

I really enjoyed this video a lot. It was so nice to hear the beautiful music, see the guards and the British military. Everything is done with so much precision and spirit. I think the British architecture is so beautiful and unique. I'm always so impressed when I watch videos from England how clean everything is and to see all the trees and parks in what looks like a business area. Thank you so much for sharing such an enjoyable video. I appreciate all the hard work everyone put into this.

You can see more of the regiment on this parade on a vid by Basil's Military Bands, although the music has been ruthlessly chopped and diced in the editing suite. It makes for very satisfying viewing if you can capture both the marchers and the band fairly equally on a parade, but when you're on your own it's often either too difficult or impossible. You'd need two shooters, especially on a parade this size. It was a huge regimental affair - which is why you wanted to see its full scope! 😀

@MrBaton742 ай бұрын
@@emstirling-is4nuBut you did see everyone that took part in the parade. I’m not running backwards and forwards to get different views and a disjointed video that needs lots of editing, I’m not the BBC with lots of cameras just a guy with one camera so I have to be select in what i video, most people view a parade from one spot, they may see all the participants but only from a fixed position. I’ll leave the running about to others who are mostly 40 + years my junior. Last time i ran after a band i fell over and broke my shoulder so that isn’t happening again. So the way I film these events is what I consider the best and safest way for me. 😊
