I agree about the lack luster appeal of the box. And so much hair care items. For those of us with short hairstyles a number of those hair products are not beneficial. Thankfully I have a number of nieces with long hair that will really enjoy them.

Yes! I know beauty is always subjective, but it just seemed like an out of balance box. There are several items that I am thrilled with and I really do want to try, but I just wish it had more variety.

I was excited for this box reveal. I won't tell you how many of the Allure Limited Edition that I bought. I have no interest in this box now unfortunately. Total NO. Was there any makeup at all? I don't consider lip balm a makeup product, do you?

Yeah the Allure winner box is soooo much better! The price, the items, and the balance of makeup, skincare, etc is much better. I completely agree! I have gotten this box the last 2 years and this is the first time that I feel really bummed about it. I hope they do better next year.

Hi Sydney, there are a few items in this box that I absolutely love but to spend that kind of money on a box that is so haircare heavy is just ridiculous to me. Don't get me wrong, I loved your video and I'm so happy that you shared it with us. But I'm sorry, it's just out of balance to me. Wheres the makeup portion of the box? I received a tangle teezer in my Walmart beauty box, we also got one in a recent Trendmood box. Some of the products I've used & really liked , some I want to try but overall, this box didn't really do it for me. Too many hair products, not enough makeup, was it just a skin/hair box? I've used the Neutrogena pimple patches, I really liked them, they work just as well as the Hero Mighty Patch. The N°7 product is a Boots own brand, Boots is a British drugstore. Honestly, a lot of these products were newer ones that I've seen the brands really hyping up, a lot have been on sale recently. I know with the Allure awards I get an email to vote, is this the same process? I'd have loved to see the products the winners beat. I'm not buying these are the best of the best, more like brands that either gave the 'best' discount on the products or paid to be included. EOS lip balms were never good, they were only popular when they came out because of the novel shape/packaging and flavors compared to what else was available. Thanks for sharing!

I love sample product boxes like this, but I still have a ton of product from the advent calendars I bought last year, LOL! I may purchase (separately) the neck care products (sheet mask, Strivectin Tightening Neck Cream) and the Exuviance foot care item. It's fun to see what's included and to learn about new products!! This definitely strikes me as a "best of" that's actually a pay for inclusion process. Of all the lip balms out right now, eos isn't even in the top 10. I've tried multiple other products in this box and also wouldn't rank them very high on a best of category list.

Its supposed to be 50/50. New Beauty chooses 50% and then the rest is people or customers that do the other 50%. New Beauty chooses like 5 or so products for a category and then the "people" or customers can go in and vote for their favorite item. Usually they open it in February and you can choose your favorites. Its very similar to how Allure does their winning products also. I voted, but I only vote on categories that I know. And sometimes I wonder if people just choose based off a name or if they have tried it once. And not actually knowing if its the best or not. But I don't know for sure, just a theory. :)

It's a mix of skincare, makeup, and haircare, and the brands are fabulous! I am trying to balance out my box budget right now because advents are 3 months away and that takes soooo much. lol So I tend to cut back in the Summer slightly just so that I can have money set aside for the advents. The VIP is actually bigger! That box has $1500 worth of products in it and more items. Personally I think its better than the award box. Normally I would choose the award box, but this one is just not my favorite this time.

Yes! Exactly what Jennifer mentioned. They offer a discount for pre orders, but you have no idea what is coming or when it is coming. Shipping can take awhile on pre orders, I have had to wait months before. But once its live and spoilers are out, they do not offer any discounts. I have been trying for months now to get one for my audience. I even pulled the "influencer" card and zilch. No reply back to me.

Being a 35 yo with bleached blond hair down to my butt- im still not super impressed for the price. I think it isnt bad, but im not really crazy about all the super expensive brands, that have cheaper altenatives that work just as well. $82 for a hair product- no thank you.
