New Belkin MagSafe Mount for Apple Desktops and Displays

Yes, and it works great with the belkin mount i use on my dell monitor. Buuuuuut, i use my tablet as an additional screen when not un the run. As long as i don't disconnect my tablet, the continuity camera won't work. This might be a rare problem, but still...apple why?

Yes, when it activates the MacBook camera doesnt turn on. You can select it though from your options in the upper right under the settings.

I'm using an LG monitor with my Mac Mini. It has an extremely thin bezel around the screen. About a 16th of an inch. I wonder if that's enough to hold this mount without putting pressure on monitor glass itself?

I’ve only ever seen this advertised with the Apple Displays, but does it work on a 2019 iMac? I’m unsure because this iMac has a very uneven back, starting super thin at the top and getting bulkier towards the lower parts in comparison to the back of the Apple Displays which goes flat down in the same thickness.

One of the advantages of this device is that it gives you a way to mount your iPhone to a standard camera mount, so if you want to put it on a tripod, etc., you can. I use my iPhone to film myself playing the piano. So a mount like this would come in very handy. Do you know if this mount will work with an iMac? It was hard to tell from this video.

It will work with iMac 2017 and later. You'll need to be sure you're running macOS Ventura or greater as well.

No it won't as you need an iPhone 12 or newer that has magsafe for it to work.

Yes it would. For continuity camera specifically you need to have macOS Ventura or greater which will with the 2017 iMac and newer. And the size or adaptability of this mount will work on iMac 2017 and later.

1:48 Notice the hinge. It doesn’t close flat when mounted to the 3/4 on the tripod. I received the Belkin mount today. Mine has the same problem. In fact, my hinge is loose and there is about 10 degrees of play. This means it wobbles and isn’t stable. I am disappointed with the product and the quality of the hinge. Good concept. But the hinge let’s this product down.
