Running a 375RUM with a 30” 1:10 pacnor throated long with 390a-tips right now. Looking forward to trying these 410’s!!

iv been running a mrad in 308/ 300wm and 338lm for 2 years now. i just realized you can go big with a barrel makers kit from barret. i have on order a .375 / barrel from bartlein . going to go with a .375XC. 410 bergers have made my day.

I shoot ELR Heavy Gun with a 375CT and an 8 twist barrel with 400 grain Cutting Edge Lazers at 3000 fps. My longest impacts in competition are at 2913 yards, which I hope to extend to two miles this season. I have also hit 2913 in Light Gun with a 338LM running 300 grain Berger Hybrids at 2850 fps out of a 9 twist barrel. The lead core bullets definitely make a bigger splash on the steel and kick up more dirt than the monolithic copper bullets. I don't want to give up accuracy with my fast twist 375 barrel, but maybe in the future will consider a slower twist barrel to try the 375 Hybrids.

could always just try a box and see if they will group well in your 8 twist

That’s great but according to Berger they aren’t making any hunting bullets right now only match. So like many others to bad they didn’t balance some way their production so hunting bullets would be out before the fall and hunting season. Other than that Great Bullets!

Two questions: what is the ballistic coefficient of these .375 cal 410 grainers, and when will they become available to the civilian market?

What cartridge for this bullet, 378 Weatherby?
@thelittledetailscr72316 ай бұрын
375 Cheytac
@KevinJayCash6 ай бұрын
.375 Cheytac as mentioned, or .375 Enabler, or .375 Allen , or possibly custom specs on a .375 Lapua case (.375 SwissP loaded long) , or those who are also taking standard hunting .375 (.378 Weatherby and 375 Ruger) and having the chamber cut special to be loaded with longer projectiles. Too many to list really. I will probably be working on a 375-416 Barrett soon which would utilize solids only.

LOVE MY 378WM. Dont think they stabalize in 1-10twist. Maybe at higher elevation

The thumbnail on this was showing a 0.475 BC and the attached article I read has a clip of a calculator from Berger but the settings were showing for a .308 projectile on G1. Anyone know what the real BC G1 on this is?

Good luck finding a hybrid OTM anything from Berger. I heard that there priority is government contracts 😖

How does this compare to monolithics like the Warner Tool Flatline 400 gr @ .552 or the Patriot Valley Arms 361 gr @ .484?

bc is a almost a moot point unless it has good bc consistency. i'm sure these hybrids will excel in that to overcome the decrease in bc
@stephenarmstrong73546 ай бұрын
@@SigmaBallistics Agreed. Flatlines are very consistent. Haven't tried the PVAs yet, but Josh Kuntz designed both, so high hopes.

Special equipment meaning Berger has tinker toy equipment. Also larger jackets are easier to make. Sounds like a whole bunch of marketing and excuses

they can keep them, berger isnt worth the price they charge now

Oh great a bullet that maybe 1% of the shooting world will use! Think of all the 22,6,6.5,7mm bullets they could make instead of a 375cal. Way to go berger on creating a product that 99% of your customer base won't use
@Basin.hunter6 ай бұрын
The issue the top 1% brings in a lot of revenue
@kirkmartin22236 ай бұрын
@@Basin.hunter how? These bullets are being designed for some government contract. They will put civilian bullets on the back burner so that they can sell over priced bullets to the government. The 375 bullets that will be available to the 1% of civilian shooters who use 375cal would not out gross the sales of 22-7mm bullets that the rest of the market want!

@@Basin.hunter yes they do! And I can't fault a company for going after the government dollar IF they are able to make the products the civilian consumer needs and keep them in stock. I'm not a fan of companies that put "us" on the back burner

They're going after a govt contract. These companies would shut down their entire production facility if it meant getting a contract they can overcharge the govt for.

@kirkmartin22236 ай бұрын
@@jesusisalive3227 I completely understand how popular long range shooting has become....I do it 4-6 times a month. But even the above average long range shooter isn't loading up 375 cheytac with all the "proprietary" actions and tools required to run such a cartridge. I don't think you understand the lack of "ranges" to shoot not just "long range" but extreme long range! Places where the public can shoot past a mile where a 37xc or 375ct and that 400+ grain projectile would be used in are probably less than 3 per state east of the Mississippi River and maybe 6 per state west of the Mississippi. I know hundreds of firearm enthusiasts who shoot in competitions with everything from 22lr pistol to Fclass and PRS on top of the long range huters i run with.... and I don't know anyone who personally owns anything that needs a 375cal bullet! If you could do a search and get an accurate number on how many Charlie TARAC prisms have been sold to civilians and then took that number and divided by 10......you might have a somewhat realistic number on the folks that would/could use this bullet! This bullet and the waste time and production component's is nothing but a grab at a potential government payout! These big companies crap on their civilian consumer base to chase that uncle Sam money! Why make 7mm bullets for 85 cents each and sell them to a guy who buys 500 a year..... when you can grossly overcharge for a 375 bullet and sell to "a guy" who buys 100,000 every month!
