Hey Kris, if you spray a varnish (gloss or matte, your choice) on the acrylic tokens, it'll be much harder for them to get scratched.

I can safely say Excelics is what solidified the deck quite well by giving it ways to restand your RG's that didn't get locked, as well as that extra pushing power across the front row. It's just a really solid deck overall, and I'm looking forward to playing it in english when it comes out.

I actually much prefer the shatterfoil RRR that we get in EN. JP SPs might be a bit better, though.

Was at Akiba on the launch day and they are already selling singles of the RRR / normal rarity cards, the only expensive ones being the PG and the G1 that gives you the crest, Hobby station were selling them about 1.2k ish yen each but cardkingdom jacked them up to about 1.8k ish yen each

I just fought the proxy deck of it today cause Malaysia's stock is currently locked somewhere at customs (yes, the irony. I know). Not a bad deck actually. Kinda stride reliant and harder to do more aggressive-ish plays compared to Jet, but still a good deck. Pretty fun

Imho what makes Stride Decksets strong are the crests, the flat +X that scales every turn it's bothersome in a format like Overdress when shields are a little low and Messiah one's bind can be pretty nasty. As for the coins try to cover them with some primer or Plastic Model clear finish products to make them a bit more resistant to scratches!

at first I doubted this deck's matchup against eva since eva can keep blowing up the front row pieces, but the tazer lage tech is actually nuts💀 EDIT: CMIIW but I think she can screw with faterider or upstream's skill too, resting the timeleaped unit. I doubt any chronojet player wouldn't bottom deck her on sight though.

Well, Speaking of Kaluzar Klein. That card is so good for Messiah. Like my friend and me had a game earlier on CFA, the guy like got Kaluzar Effect to find another one like 3 times in a row. And that's how Messiah did more than Five attacks in one turn.

Then they were playing Kaluzar wrong - Kaluzar calls a *locked* card, and the deck only allows for one battle phase unlock per turn. So say you attack with Kaluzar, call another one as Lock. It gets unlocked when your Stride attacks. It attacks again, calls another locked card... that can't be unlocked until the end phase because your Messiah already attacked.

G3 Mikani doesn’t do much, so no. G1 is good for the deck because it soul charges on place and then you can choose to shove it into soul whenever you want.

I saw some people mad that amnesty doesn't have a crit. If Amnesty have a crit first stride this deck would be SS tier imagine 5 attacks and your VG has a crit AND you have a Brandt gate OT Lmao. The usual counter for these decks is grade locking but its not easy.

That nerf to locking opponent's units really felt unnecessary. There's so much multi-attacking already, why did they feel the need to slow it down? Especially since there's no way to do more than one unit at a time in standard, and it's easy to keep it that way.

@@DifferentFight I’ve seen some deck lists running the prison order at 2 copies (for sc3 because pot of greed is a thing) so unless you’re able to get that out on the field quick, bobalmine would be active. I’m guessing the reason for running bobalmine is that it give “ready” cc as compared to sacrifice messiah. I wouldn’t run it tho since there’s probably better cards to run

SB1 to draw one is kinda heavy for a deck that can't soul charge consistently and again, only really makes up for the fact that you need to use your hand to make a board. It's not bad, but again, it's definitely closer in power to other d series decks than jet is.

@@DJATOMICA95 the chance of drawing a g3 early is easy too (luck based ik but 60% hit rate imo depends on build too but yeah) It will get upgraded down the line anyways for now theres mikani for soul and effect crits But in terms of power right out the box it just curbstomps lower tier d decks soooo Sure a cope response is yeah its more fair then jet but once eng gets this its gonna b jet n messiahs clogging up the meta lol I been to wgp where theres 70% jets and shit was not fun its an auto lose
