This was an awesome run, I think cripple Moab at the end would have been better than the mad, but I don't know how much of a difference it would make. I do think this strategy could have gotten you to round 200, with slightly better synergizes support. I.e. getting a cripple Moab, and eventually a x5x village. Then maybe a perma spike in the back to catch leaking DDTs, or x5x ice maybe. (plus energizer at some point). I think to go much past 200 though you really need to plan better around saving up for 1 really expensive tower. Ideally you need a 420 super monkey, with a full support sacrifice, and then which ever other sacrifices you want. Getting a 205 super monkey would probably also be a decent strat, but once it falls off it doesn't have the benifit of giving discounts to everything else you buy.

That second run was awesome :) I'm thinking instead of trying to get better BAD-hitters, you could try to go the debuff route, like 520 ice and 052 glue (I think you had enough for both when you died) to increase the raw damage output of everything you already had. 502 sniper could work too, although it is more expensive and doesn't perform so well against multiple targets. Also, as someone suggested in another comment, using a pair of xx2 villages to discount-buy some ninjas (and possibly some support towers in the back, such as overclock, mid-path glue or cripple moab) could help getting the ultra-late-game stuff. Anyway, I hope you'll try this again some time. These are very interesting to watch from a pure theocrafting perspective.

Hey SJB I modified your strat a bit and got all the way through 200, lost on 201. Ezili+Sabo is great for scaling with % damage, and then I got the energizer to cut ability times. I also used an ice monkey to put things in the pool, and the abs 0 helped with DDT crowd control (superstorm still pushes them back while frozen). I think I coulda done even better with ability timing going from 200 to 201, and I didn't even get to a homeland defense or glue storm (saved and spent on a perma brew and a heli to move it around, maybe it was the right choice maybe not). Anyway 200 is the number to beat, would love to see you try this again!

Perhaps you can do some btd science, Think your best bet is to work backwards, actually, with some math figure out the amount of money you would have at say round 160-170 then pop into sand box, and test all sorts of strategies and find some set ups that hold their ground that late, paragon strategies, different buffing towers etc. Then it's just working how to adapt those set ups to be sufficient to get you through earlier chimps rounds as you upgrade into the final builds.

Love those late game vids! Mabey you can also do them for other modes, like alternative bloon rounds, apopalypse and half cash. Do it in challenge editor, select hard, no powers, selling, knowledge, max lives 1. And i guess dont use farms or stuff like that gives you money.

Really fun vid, well done! I do wonder if going for the permabrew alch would've made a difference for the ninja army. That damage boost on the grandmaster (not to mention ALL the shinobi tactics) can't be understated since it applies to every single shuriken they throw. If I'm not mistaken the grandmaster still only does 1 damage per shuriken without that buff (or other damage buffs like superbrittle/glue storm).

I feel like at the end you were really lacking any defense on the outside ring. I always try to get extreme coverage so things that do get through will just get pasted on the way out, usually I have a ton of mine factories at the end making a pile of moab and bloon shredding insanity.

he had MIB so his grandmaster should have been able to pop anything. Even so, I don't see anyone saying permabrew. I haven't pushed late rounds that much, especially in chimps, but permabrew is absolutely busted at least below 200 on grandmaster and his posse as well as the xx5 druid, and it shreds DDTs. Aside from getting massive paragons and VTSG (which is off the table in chimps), you basically want the highest rate of fire/multishot towers you can with permabrew, glue/ice/sniper debuff. If he had a permabrew that and a heli to have it move around and buff everything, I think this goes farther, maybe a lot farther.

0-0-5 alchemist is pretty good if you don't care about losing income since it can turn MOAB level bloons into reds. Lots of pops but pretty much no money

I think a maim moab sniper monkey could have been good or the glue monkey with the glue ability to just slow the stuff down could have also helped. Ice monkey with top path could have also helped. But as you were saying the really good damage monkeys are kinda expensive in a chimps game.

main issue, on this map, superstorm could push bloons into the perma-spike. Also, at some point the bloons move to fast to be damaged by it, but i dont remember if thats like in the thousands or not

perma spike only stacks for 5 rounds so it'll reach a point where it won't even kill a zomg and whats worse is that late game ddts get so fast that they can just fly right over the pile without hitting it

I think super brittle, cripple MOAB, and/or getting two high-level villages (i.e. one call to arms and one homeland defense) would have been better than a MAD, although a MAD is still a logical choice and it’s what I thought of first as well.

I'm sitting at 230 for my current run playing on logs, start with either superstorm + poplust or double ninja + shinobis and you can save up for a 50k support temple around round 130. It does wonders for CHIMPs tower costs

Once you get high up in rounds, the Ninjas start changing in power, the Grand Saboteour, as he does percentage damage with his ability, ends up being the strongest of the three 5th tiers, the Grandmaster Ninja kinda needs to be alchemized to be worth it, but once you do, he does so, so much more than the Master Bomber too. I have a save (normal game, not CHIMPS) around round 300 that I started two days ago (I hate my laggy laptop) and my Grand Saboteur got up to around 300 million pops, pops, my Grandmaster was only around 180 million, but my Master Bomber was only at 20 million, and I bought all three of them in the same round (The pops came from around 60 rounds total, I had all three with 10x Ultraboost, Permabrew and temple/vtsg, plus the 20x shinobi)

late game freeplay is very reliant on greedy farming throughout the game so being on chimps really limits how far you can get

I feel like you could go for perma brew instead of super monkey, maybe also buying all those ninjas the second top upgrade. I think that grandmaster with perma brew + 20 ninjas + village is much better than that super monkey. In late-late game the numbers are against you, so you need to stack yours numbers efficiently. Stacking both attack speed and damage is more effective than just random 1 OP monkey

there is an effective strategy for late game chimps, where you superbuff a master bomber, allowing you to save up for an ultraboost by around 115. This then allows you to save up for a homeland, which then allows you to save over 250k. In my run, I then bought a pbrew, chinhook, M.A.D, and continued saving. I'm currently sat at round 228, with over 250k in the bank, probably for a temple.

Mad + biggest one I can't see how anything can pass, until bads have too much speed and hp. Ceram gets one shotted. Mad is crazy vs moabs and it got "buffed" because it was too strong vs bosses, so they increased the pierce. Then spend rest on bad dmg likd first strike and support like OC and homeland.

Ok so currently sitting at 151, the issue is that the biggest one isn't consistent enough and the mad is getting pierce capped. Getting 502 sniper was probably a mistake, since im not losing to single bads, but rather to grouped fortified zomgs. Gonna try some more tmr.

The Flying fortress does more pops I'm afraid to tell you my dude. That is because of the global range. If you compare the VTSG to the flying fortress on a map where the VTSG has enough range to always fire on the enemies the VTSG will have a higher pop count but since many maps aren't designed that way the flying fortress simply has the advantage of the global range

If you can afford it, I'm assuming so even if NK didn't want paragons to be possible in chimps I doubt they would have written the code to take them out of chimps solely because it's too difficult, maybe impossible, to survive long enough to save up for it
