Mud, I think it will work, but using a hopper you can't, because the hopper can only pick up the block if the block is less than 1 high (0.800 high)

Is it judt me or is this design hugely flawed? The observers keep triggering at growth "percentages" rather than actual growth which makes the pistons reset the actual growth, which in turn makes it so that none of the canes will grow once. Is it just me experiencing this or is there a fix?

when i try to put the observer on the other observer( 4:35), it wont change direction. its always facing the wrong way. ive tried to place it in all types of direction but it remains the same. what do i do?
