I hope you solve the problem with it, mine sounds good but it as tons of problem control, volume goes slowly up by itself, sometimes the volume down on the remote becomes volume up and if I turn it of it forgets what was my bass and treble settings, anything connected to the USB as a delay... Anyhow, like I say, it sounds good but it's full of bug.

@@ataxy ? What's the difference between your DA21201 vs TB100D? This is my first take in building a hifi system and I want to make sure I make the right choice...and let me add cables...which would you recommend? In addition to initial reviews, it would nice to see some long-term reviews. I own a number of these type of amps, and after time things fail. Half dead displays, loose knobs, finicky encoders, etc.

You get what you pay for. I really mean this in the nicest way possible. These reviewers like to push this cheap crap because the Chinese manufacturing sector can afford to pay them decent to sponsor their products because they're charging dollars for what cost them pennies to make. This is all a bunch of marketing hype. Most if not all of these affordable brands come out of two at most 3 manufacturing plants. They all fail the same ways because they're all made from the same parts by the same people. For instance, one can spend 100- $1,000 a year on the newest coolest cheap failing Chinese crap and just keep spending every time that it breaks or a component fails. One could spend $1000- $10,000 on a real amp, dac, preamp etc. that will last 20 years before ever even needing service. Not to mention made of premium materials, real customer service, upgrade paths/trade-in programs, resale/collectors value the benefits are all there. You save money buying quality items; this is the truth and always has been. I have several Carver, Mitsubishi, krell, even Audio Source amps that are anywhere up to 25 years old and they've never needed more than general maintenance. It's a short-term thinking instant gratification kind of problem. I'm all for everyone having access to good audio but not at the cost of making bad decisions. Save up, do your research, and buy real equipment, you'll be happy for a long time. It's a real shame we don't have more audio stores where people can truly try and research in person before they purchase but it's a larger shame that people are unwilling to even attempt to make sound financial decisions. Leave the herd you'll be happier.

@@tgarfner3020..and this is why people hate "audiophiles." Just braggadocio about your gear. I'm pretty sure no-one is gong to throw a McIntosh tube amp in thier back patio or garage. That's what this cheap gear is for. It would simply be nice to know common failures and what to expect, other than how it works for the first 10-minutes. Please go quench your thirst for stupid audio virtue signaling and pointless debate in an audio forum. I've been there, done that, and got bored with it.

@@tgarfner3020 I really miss the audio stores of the 60’s, and 70’s. So much fun to actually be able to listen to some of the best audio gear available, and make good decisions. There’s a lot more than just audio gear I miss from those days also.

My wife and I enjoy sitting in our garden room listening to our Fosi Audio BL20A Bluetooth amp connected to a WiiM Mini and a pair of JBL Stage 130 speakers and a Polk Audio PSW 108 subwoofer. All in costs less than $500. Sounds amazing, takes up very little space and is still going strong after almost a year of use playing every day for hours on end. If this kind of system introduces someone to the audio experience for not much investment I view that as a good thing. Eventually they may be ready for a more expensive audio investment.

In term of "Bang For Buck" and "Value For Money" products, Randy you are the man 👍 Many of my friends who newly join this HiFi entertainment/hobby had benefits a lot from your information. About 4 years ago before the global pandemic, we brought a Topping D50S DAC (where we brought from TaoBao) to one of our HiFi dealer friend who representing XTZ Sweeden to try but he keep on said NO NO NO... Later, some or rather he accidentally put the D50S into his setup (that replaced his old Marantz reference DAC) and he was like OMG, how come this little "BOX" at such price able to sound damn good and compete his Mxxxxxx DAC... 🤣 From that moment onward, he wrote to China and spending so many time and effort. Eventually, he is one of the best and most active representative of Topping, SMSL later Gustard, Singxer, xDuoo, Moondrop and etc. in my country. From your passed videos there is where I came across Sabaj brand too... Will you able to arrange review the A30a? Since "some" reviewers had gave quite high remarks too... Well....I'm getting closer to my two different setups. Just purchased the Elac b26 shelf speakers I've been wanting over a year now. By coincidence, my amp is the Fosiaudio DA2120C with same remote/ functions ( bought a last winter)incorporated with Fosi phono preamp x2 for my TT. Could not be happier. Moving Edifier BT 1700 to TV setup. Just waiting for wiim pro and heavier-duty speaker stands( maybe innext couple of months). Thank you for your reviews on all these items. BTW rt now on Amazon, the inexpensive ( but worth it in quality) pole type speaker stands are going for $39.99 , if still there. I have these, perfect for my Edifier BT 1700 speakers. (NOTE , too unstable for the Elac b26s though)

But i cannot decided what kind of entry level small amp i should pait it with. I am between Loxjie a30 / SMSL AD18 V3.1. Randy, I saw your video about how to hook up a system but didn't see one explaining impedance, amp wattage vs speaker wattage, etc. I think your straightforward delivery combined with the way you explain things in an easily understandable way would benefit people that are new to audio systems; especially since they're likely to find your videos on budget components. There are plenty of videos on KZbin explaining audio system 'math', but they're quite in depth and usually dry so I think you'd do a better job for the average person getting into the hobby.

Do you think it is better to go with a dac/amp solution such as this Fosi o Ayima D03 or T9 or is it better to buy a singular amp such as Fosi B20d or Ayima A07 and a cheap Dac, such as Smsl C100, Topping D10s/E30 or ifi zen air? It is for a desktop setup, nothing fancy.

if the integrated has a dac you really like and the power you need it will be the more simple & probably cheaper solution. but if you cant get exactly what you want in the dac & amp in one device then separates obviously let you pick and choose. i prefer separate because there are just far, far more options available that route and you can change things in and out easier if you want to try a new dac with a good amp or try a tube amp with a good dac or whatever the case may be. for my pc setup i also like being able to put my emotiva control freak (just a big ole chonker of an analog volume knob) between my dac and amp so i can have a separate volume control on my desk, something that isnt necessarily possible with an integrated device. integrated probably less wires and devices to deal with though so that may be something to consider. ultimately there is no "better" solution for everybody. just depends on your budget, personal taste and size/features requirements. i you can the best way to go is just buy several things to try out then return what you dont like. audio sounds so different to everybodys ears and will sound different with the individual setup so just trying things out to see what you like most is going to be the best way to figure out whats better for you.

I finally decided to give one of these cheap audio amps a go so bought a Nobsound NS-01G Pro Bluetooth to go with a spare pair of q acoustics 3020i speakers & stuck it in the bedroom. They are not to be sniffed at, I have my main system in the lounge rega planar3/marantz cd & pm 6007 with b&w speakers but I do like my cheapo system when wifey is in the lounge watching her soaps. I send from a samsung s21 ultra attatched to a portable hard drive with 600 flac albums just laying on the bed it's great, it's cheap & does the job with a bit of oomph.

Dang, 80db is like a whisper to me. My single sub car setup does a 150+ at 28 hz. Hair trucks and all. But I still hear well enough to use quality headphones, and notice different sound when switching DACs and amplifier gear. Maybe I should start taking it easy on these old ears... I'll have to pick one of these up for a small office setup. I bought the e30ii and l30ii from watching these videos. They are due to show later today. Definitely going to have an audio play day inside and avoid the weather. Thanks for the videos, subbed, comment and thumbs up for the algorithm!

Dammit Randy!!! I was gifted a pair of Paradigm Monitor 7 v5 - so I needed another amp, and here this review is. Just set it up with another WiiM Pro and put the Emotive B1+ on it. Sounds great so far. The packaging from Amazon was oddly similar (read: same) to another Chinese amp I recently purchased. Weird.

Hey man, thanks for the review 🙂, it really helps making a decision on what to buy 🙂. I hope you can answer this, is there any sound (hiss, hum, buzz or whatever you want to call it) coming out of it if the amplifier is ON but no sound signal on input. Lets assume you have a decent computer, no ground loops, and no noise from the sound card (or usb). Or maybe @fosiaudio can reply too 🙂 Thanks in advance!

Wouldn't we want something with 100w x2 to power those budget king Sony SSCS5 speakers? Something like the DA2120C at 120w x2? I saw someone on the Sony speaker reviews saying they lacked bass when driving those with less wattage. What do you think? Edit: just noticed you mentioned the Sony pair 3/4 of the way through.

Great review Randy. This answers the question I get often for people wanting to explore the HiFi hobby. Add a pair of CAM speakers for $150, and beginners can enjoy a great system. They will soon be hooked. The first taste is almost free. keep up the good work!

Randy, the bigger unit DA2120c uses the Cirrus Logic CS8422 DAC chip, so perhaps the DA2120A and the DA2120C share the same DAC chip.

Happy New Year everyone 🥰 I'm looking for a simple SD card / SSD / HDD player. I don't use BT, Wi-Fi or other stuff so that is not a priority for me. Look at it as an standalone CD player, but with SD / SSD / HDD. I want to compare the sound quality from PC against it on Topping E70 Velvet. I also have an upgraded and modified Sony CDP-XA50ES CD player i want to compare them to. Greatly appreciate any help 🥰
