i was all set to buy some of the new Morel line but after reaching out to the company to inquire about warrantys shipping auditioning them in home and the possibility of returns if not satisfied etc. i was met with the worst customer service which led me to decide against this company. The person from Morel should not have been anywhere near the phone rude short and i felt the whole time like i was burdening this person by asking simple pre purchase questions so while it may be a great speaker you couldnt pay me to own it.

Nice review. Unfortunately the audio stores that you could go to to hear a wide variety of components no longer exist. The more esoteric brands such as these are particularly hard to find.

Morel has always been very good quality and relatively expensive. Shocked at how “cheap “ these are. Will definitely give them a listen at Axpona’25. Historically the large voice coils meant the need for a LOT of power. Same for these??

The Merlin monitors used these drivers, and also Fritz loudspeakers ! The Merlins were awesome looking !!

I still regret accidentally throwing away two beautiful Morel tweeters back in the early 1990s. They made (still make) drivers for the DIY market. Among the best sounding tweeters I ever heard. Beautifully built. Sound great!

Hi Randy, How do you compare these Wharfedale SUPER LINTON Heritage to Kef R3 speakers for all genres of music? Thanks in advance.

Something I miss, Good car audio. Nothing like a warm spring day, jumping in your hotrod, cranking it up with the windows down, and just drive nowhere. Like the great DLR line, "Rockin' steady in her daddies car, she's got the stereo with the big guitars, and that alright." It's nice to see a good car audio company branching out into the home audio realm with quality gear instead of companies like Alpine that dropped their quality to sell at Best Buy and become a shadow of what they once were. Will definitely have to seek these out and give them a listen.

I believe it's far far more likely that someday I'll add a subwoofer to my setup, as compared to the minuscule chance I'll ever need a phono input again. Thus for me, the Fosi amp (Amazon B07K7NJ4QN) is a much better choice, having both amped and line sub outputs, and even saves $30 over the one in the video. If 50x2 watts isn't enough, for $99 with coupon, the BT30D Pro has 165x2 but only amped sub out + pre out, no dedicated sub line out.

How goofy to make this political. Morel has been making top-quality drivers for the DIY community for years, including some of the best soft dome tweeters on the planet. They sound like a bargain at $1200 a pair.

just a suggestion, as those specific comments are deleted, could the comments referring to the former comments also be deleted? that is, if the point is to keep out the division having nothing to do with speakers.

I want an amp to power 2 premium bookshelf speakers and a sub inside, and 2 outdoor speakers and a buried-in-the-ground outdoor sub outside. Within those constraints, goal is premium music (integrated spotify streaming a plus) playing inside (open floorplan) and outside (blasting from house to 1/4 acre back yard) while entertaining, and we have just not had a lot of luck with wireless/bluetooth setups not dropping out, not pairing, etc. 500-100 for amp, and 500-1000 per pair of speakers, under 500 per amp. Help (do you do pair consultations??).
