As a child (35 years ago or so!) we used to go to Thorpe Park annually and spend some of the time at the beach which was always bustling in the summer from what i remember. It should probably not be there any more but there's definitely lots of nostalgia attached to that part of the park for me!

I think that Project Pivot is a Brilliant replacement for Amity Beach. Although I do think that a smaller plot flat ride (Nebulaz?) should come to the Lucifer’s Lair area near where the stage was before it was moved this year. There seems to be lots of event space in Thorpe for such a compact park!

It will be a shame if the beach does go as it is a nice place to relax for a while however what they want to do does make sense as it can be used all year round not just during the summer I am glad they are keeping a bit of the beach so hopefully they will smarten it up a bit

It’s a shame when things get leaked for sure, sadly can’t escape it due to the online world now. At least back in the good old days it was all deep in forums/not on the internet at all, but now it’s impossible to miss any leaks due to social media. I just imagine certain scenarios e.g seeing “Nemesis is closing” signs or “UKs tallest and fastest coaster” boards for the first time without prior knowledge.. it’d be so exciting and create so much more speculation! Really hope things like Project Horizon and Chessington’s coaster layout stay under wraps for as long as possible 🤞
