Good choice👊….Sold my 13 Goldwing and picked up an 18 Tenere ES and loving it… No more interstate ironbutt rides for me, now I take the scenic byways around the states and camp wherever possible. The Super Tenere in my opinion is the best value ADV out there today….

Those Yamaha are bulletproof bikes. I have seen plenty of them with well over 100,000 miles on them. They are out there, but again it is a niche motorcycle as long as you take care of it. It’ll last you as long as you want it. Anyways, be safe out there, ride as many miles as you can, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Thank yo! Definitely plan on taking care of this one and am hoping to put a lot of miles on it!

Excellent video. I also have a 2016 and I love it. I just did a 12,000-mile, 30-day ride from Maryland to Alaska and back, and the bike performed flawlessly, in spite of some of the worst weather and road conditions I’ve experienced in 22 years of long distance motorcycle riding. It’s also one of the most comfortable long distance touring bikes I’ve owned. Enjoy your bike. You made a great choice!

@@mjleggieri Thank you! Sounds like you’ve had some epic adventures on your Super Tenere! I still love mine after almost a year with it - by far my favorite motorcycle I’ve owned so far.

Great video. No annoying music. Clear narration. Great points on the Super Tenere in canary color. I'm jealous, and I want one bad.

Thank you! I'm trying to be straight to the point. Appreciate the feedback! And I still feel very fortunate for having this bike. I'm planning on doing a 1 year update in the next few weeks!

Good choice! I got my ST 2017 ES for 3 years now and don't want something else it is a very reliable bike. Enjoy the riding and I subscribed to your channel to see some from you 👍 Kind regards from the Netherlands

The Super "T" is relatively easy to pick up when fitted with the crash bars. Too many people seem to be of the opinion that its a mission.
@Raguvian2 ай бұрын
@@murraycarton3792 I found that out a few months ago! It tipped over in a parking lot. Wasn’t too bad to get it back up.

Congrats on your new bike. Great machine. It's nice to see Yamaha go back to the original Yamaha colors of yellow and black for the 60th anniversary... I have never been able to get on board with the switch to blue. Yamaha also had a strong history with the red and white color schemes, particulary in Europe, but Yellow/black especially on their YZ line of dirtbikes is what I always associate them with...

Thank you! I agree, I really like the yellow and wish we'd get more models with them. I am lucky to have gotten this one but would like to see more of them.

Thanks for your review. I've had my 2020 for a couple years now. Everything you said I would agree with. Based on your acceleration from a stop, I'm guessing you keep your bike in Sport mode.

Nice bike , considering getting a used one because the value can’t be beat. My only concern is the weight. If you dropped it, do you think you could pick it up by yourself if you had to ?
@Raguvian7 ай бұрын
I haven’t tried it yet and not sure I want to! 😂 I do think with the engine cage not letting the bike fall over as much and with proper technique you could lift it back up.

Just this afternoon I laid my 2020 down while taking a curve too fast just north of Bodega Bay (because I'm dumb). I'm 5'10", 180lbs, and 62, and I did get it back upright...may have a hernia now, but I did it all by myself! 😊 Yes, the OEM engine cage/crashbar does make it a little easier to pick up...and did a great job of protecting my Super T in today's wreck.

Did you get it at a dealership, private party. What were the perks for buying this bike from so far away?
@NunyaBusiness...11 ай бұрын
Some questions for you on the bike and how you fit on it: How tall are you and what's your inseam? Makes it easier to relate to how you feel on the bike. Are you on the high or low seat setting on this bike? Are you flat footing, on the balls of your feet, tip toes, etc. when stopped?
@Raguvian11 ай бұрын
I am 6'2" with a 36" inseam. I'm on the high seat setting and am able to flat foot the bike when stopped.
@NunyaBusiness...11 ай бұрын
@@Raguvian Damn. LOL At 5'6" with a roughly 31" inseam I cannot relate to flat footing most ADV bikes. I sat on an ST with the low seat and I was on the balls of my feet. I could feel it was heavy, but it also felt so well balanced. Honestly, similar feel to throwing a leg over my friend's V-Strom 800DE even though that bike is like 70 lbs lighter, and the ST was less tippy while just standing stationary. The engine is pretty low and there is a big chunk of weight from the battery and shaft drive that is below the centerline of the bike, so it doesn't feel unwieldy. Can't wait to ride one.
@Raguvian11 ай бұрын
@@NunyaBusiness... With the wide bars and center of gravity I think you'll be fine! My bike also has all the luggage on it (each Givi case probably weighs 8-10 lb and are mounted high) so without those I think the bike would feel even better. Hope you get to ride (and maybe own?) one soon!
@NunyaBusiness...11 ай бұрын
@@Raguvian It'll likely be the next bike. Just getting more seat time and stashing the funds for it. One of the few bikes I'm actually kind of ok looking at used if I can't get a new one's price down where I'd like it. I usually avoid used because I tend to wind up with the lemons. Horrible luck. LOL
