Deep, it's a myth that you need more cc to tour the country. Even 200cc is enough for the following reasons - Bikes become heavy and thus tiring if above 500cc Legal speed limit which is being monitored very strictly in many highways across the country is 80kmph Bigger cc bikes with their heat and weight have many limitations, remote area peace of mind, fuel economy, service and spares back up, lifting, pushing all become a hassle... Just as u said one can take highness for 110-115 for 20 min every hour, all the above factors make a higher cc bike cruise at 130-140 only for a few minutes every hour. The essense of touring is noticing things around you in the journey, not reaching destinations, so a faster bike defeats that purpose. In my opinion and experience across motorcycling for 25 years, 37 motorcycles and going upto 750cc bikes, I would always choose - Sub 185 kilos Above 30kmpl And with atleast 5 service stations per state. Rest is adventure specs as u seek...

Yezdi Adv and RE Himalayan won't be a upgrade for you really. It is more of change of segment (cruiser to adventure). Yezdi will be a BIG NO from my side right now as it's very fresh in the market and will bound to have all sorts of niggles. Definitely try out the Honda CB500X, Versys 650 and Triumph Tiger Sport 660. These are more logical upgrates for you! My suggestion will be: Don't do for a single cylinder bike as an upgrade.

I'd recommend versys or cb 500x over 390 adventure. Low end torque is not sufficient in 390 adventure. So you'll have the same stalling problem in city or offroad

You can't upgrade from a highness to these 2 bikes ...you won't feel much difference .... Try the Cb 500x and versys 650. Or the new Triumph tiger 660 ...more expensive ...but much better for what exactly you want.

All the best bro for finding new ride. As you said rightly, Yezdi ADV and Himalayan aren't actually a upgrade from Hness. Also KTM 390 Adventure is good but again its a single cylinder bike plus needs Engine to be in right RPM range. CB500X/ Tiger will be wise choice considering you also do off road. If you plan to use the new bike for touring majorly on tarmac then Versys 650. Just my 2 cents 😊

Honda 500x can be a best choice. Yezdi ADV will go a bit fast then RE Himalayan but in general both are in same specs category and will not justify as upgrade from Higness. Kawasaki Versys and Suzuki Vstrom both are obviously good but cost of ownership definitely will be higher. my vote for honda 500x.

From the owner of YEZDI adventure adventure itself please, don’t take this crappy unreliably bike and regret in your life go for another brands This my fourth major issue with my bike 1. Within few days, many customer will notice rusting issues, including the screws of the Bk, which indicates they don’t even put the quality of screws in making machine. Forget about asking about resting issue in silencer. I show you that you will change the entire silencers within few years with your own pocket money. 2. Second major issue I had gone through is with the TPS sensor. They replaced it taking 15 days of time. Period. 3. Got Engine Rattling Sound Issue which made them to open the engine casing about 6 months later,Problem is fixed took bike 1 month to fix & retuned it 4. Again, within an year the stock battery is gone and it will cost you around ₹7500 rupees (1 years warranty even after u pay so much)to get the same TATA Battery. [by the way, I didn’t even install a single extra electric accessory in my bike my bike is still the same. How I took from the showroom except the leg sliders which is must for this bike ) 4 . Presently, it’s been(16aug 2024) 15 days still, my bike is in showroom as it’s giving me trouble in first gear and frequently stopping till now, my issue hasn’t resolved Service, people are unexperienced. They give stupid reasons to borrow some time after that make ur bill hefty🥲 Conclusion : don’t get hyper seeing this shot paid advertisements. If you really want to know this bike, go to the showroom and ask for the person who is taking the delivery of this bike after Service or take their number and ask their experience. You will know the pain they gone through.I want to share so much but kept my anger in many issues as low as i could. I want to share so much but …

Not a best time to purchase a new bike. Hold off for few months. You need 650cc or higher to cruise at 120+kmph. You can consider RE Interceptor. Its cheapest twin cylinder bike in Indian market.
