I have two budgies. First one i found and 2nd one is a rescue for companionship. Have my hands full with them 😂 but they give me some good laughs daily. Still trying to make them tame, it’s a long process. Tomorrow I am making a playground for them all from natural wood

Hey i got my budgies 4 weeks ago the male one is already trusting me a lot! But female doesnt trusts me but not a lot but I pick her up from inside her cage and she looks for a finger nail and starts biting it. I dont think she is stressed because she isnt plucking. I had a cockatiel(phoenix) and phoenix always plucked the fur from my blanket, then one day i tried letting her out, she just fell over and was about to die, we were too late. So I want to know why she always looks for a finger nail to bite when i pick her up in her cage.

My parents don't want to give my 9 year old budgie we have take care of since he was 3 months old a companion even tho I asked them to. He's healthy, but scared to eat anything but seeds which we have tried already but he just doesn't want to. He seems happy and being able to keep himself busy. But is there anything I can do for him? Idk if he's lonely or not. He's not showing signs of stress so🤷‍♀️

Give him some toys he can destroy. My budgie loves his ball which is filled with crumbled paper. Don’t give up on the food be patient. I gave bell pepper, parsley, lettuce, egg, broccoli en cucumber. My birds don’t want eat that either until i sprinkled some Millet on the food, now they eat fresh food daily. You also can give apple, banana and strawberries. Just try what he likes and keep him entertained. Let him out his cage daily. You got this!

@@dianazaalberg1993 thank you so much for your reaction! I'll definitely try again to get him to eat different things. And dont worry my bird is out his cage everyday. He has this blue plastic cup he likes to mess around with outside his cage and he explores our livingroom and all. I just don't really know what toys to offer him tho expect that plastic cup. I'm afraid he's getting bored if it sometimes. Any suggestions for other toys he can play with outside his cage?

Hello Bird Nuggets I am here to request you for a help. I have brought a new budgie 2 weeks ago and now I have started to tame him but he is showing least interest in all the treats and toys. Nothing fascinates or attracts him and so It is very difficult for me to train him. Also he is a very shy bird who, even after trying for the past 2-3 days is very very scared of me and is very ignorant towards me. Pls help...
