The store you are referring to is Lauzon Music located in Ottawa Canada. Bought a lot of gear from them. They carry insane Gibson guitars, Custom Shop Fender instruments, Boucher guitars, Martin and Collings. It’s a great shop!

I pre-ordered an Epiphone LP custom in viper blue on March 19th 2024. According to the Sweetwater description, most LP customs have gold hardware but these have nickel finish hardware. I love quilt tops and got lucky a couple years ago when my local famous guitar store, The great great house of guitars, had a new old stock Epiphone Les Paul ultra with gold hardware, a quilted maple top and a piezoelectric pickup at the bottom of the fretboard. I still have it and that guitar was built on a good day! It plays so nicely, the action is super low with almost zero fret buzz. I sure hope the viper blue one is as good!

These kind of remind me of my 2005 LP LE Standard Iin Midnight Manhattan Blue with ebony fret board and chrome pickup covers . I think it weighs 8 pounds 12 oz. If you see them in some light they look navy blue but if you put a bright light on them it almost looks purple. But I think they sell used for about $3,000 used. Mines pristine and I paid about )2,000 used but there was no case

Got to love that blue. I just bought a real clean Translucent Blue Ep Standard Pro. Mahogany body and neck nicely flamed maple top, rosewood FB with trapezoids. PB2 and PB3 pickups. Grovers, coil taps single ply cream neck and body binding. Just a nice guitar and well cared for by the previous owner. It will be perfect for me as I get back into playing. Love your vids. That's what got me back into playing. I'm 67. why not!

I'm really starting to like Epiphone guitar's more all the time. As a player, what is most important to me is a great playing instrument you can rely on. I love beautiful finishes and other ornamentation but I can't afford to buy Gibson's every time. It's great to see Epiphone giving us some really nice and useful option's.

I have a 2014 Gibson SG Standard in the Manhattan Midnight finish and it is gorgeous, never letting that one go. Has the 61 pick guard and 57 classics with cool split. This color reminded me of it but mine has more purple in the back. Best of all I got it in basically perfect condition a few years ago for 799. These look great though, BIG fan of blue guitars

In 2020 I picked up an Epiphone SG Deluxe Pro (The old 400 style) from Zzounds and it has the figured top in a deep Blue like the one Gibson is now offering. It was a Zzounds limited edition, the color was only available through them. It has the gold hardware as well. It only has a maple veneer on top with the mahogany body, it does have some nice movement. A little hard to see at times due to the dark blue color. It is a nice guitar, it even has cream binding on the finger board. It also has coil tapping, the only draw back is it has a Pau Ferro fingerboard. It has some nice streaks to it and It has grown on me over the last couple years, but I love this guitar. Would love to have one of the Gibson's Les Paul's in the Viper Blue.

I bought an Epiphone J200BE a few years back . It even has the hummingbird graphics on the pick guard. The price was around $600 and it was loaded down with two Fishman pickups one near the sound hole and the usual under bridge pickup. Had a basic eq with a sound boost switch and built in tuner. Of course it didn't come with a case but as acoustics go it sounds and plays every bit as good as a 1969 Yamaha FJ230 twelve string I picked up for $ 450 from a friend.

Is there gonna be an Epiphone LesPaul Studio in the Sweetwater exclusive blue color? The LP Custom doesn't do it for me. Don't like the 60's slim taper neck at all. But a Studio with some electronics upgrades could be alot of fun. I believe the Epi LP Studio has its own neck carve that's somewhere between a 50's and 60's LP standard size.

When you see the Epi and Gibson LP Custom side by side, you do wonder how the $7,000 premium is justifiable. A hardware upgrade of $300 would probably level most of the specs so, is the $6,000 differential the true price of US labour and the snob value that goes with Gibson branding?

Wow... How cool is that... I had no idea... It's kind of bizarre you mentioned butterflies because I have been infatuated with them over the past few years..... For no reason whatsoever I decided I was going to start collecting all things butterfly related and most of my guitars have some sort of butterfly image on them.... I guess you can say it was totally out of the blue but I started doing that.....pun intended.... Just to be honest I started hanging out with the butterfly thing a couple years back because my heart was broken.... . And it's kind of symbolic.... Butterflies are kind of like music and being able to create music. Metamorphosis freedom and beauty.... my first love, which is playing guitar ,plus butterflies..... ...thats everything I need....to move forward....and heal.. .. As we all must. The good thing about when things get broken , is that when they do heal ...they're much stronger. Just had to tell somebody.... ......dig it.
