New BlunderBuster Shotgun, Frontier Hatchet & HCR Changes in Rust

New Halloween masks: i.imgur.com/1mKkGEY.png More info: i.imgur.com/bazWTg8.png BlunderBuss & Hatchet are just reskins part of the new Frontier Hazmat DLC, however the High Calibre Revolver is a new gun. HCR will use 5.56 however atm it is reloading to pistol ammo but requires 5.56 in inventory to reload (very odd, still work in progress). Also look at the HCR stats, it has 10 more damage than python, slightly more accurate and a much longer range at the cost of reduced fire rate.

what a weird choice putting it after python on tech three. I think they should have replaced the pythons spot on the tech tree with the HCR, made the python uncraftable (because just look at it) and buffed it so people wont hate looting it

I like how the singke action hammer is animated yet the shotguns hammers dont move and are both down

no hammer fanning (at small durability cost) is a little sad. Burst fire button would work, shifts posture to cowboy mode.

Specifically on the high caliber, I could be totally wrong on this, but if you look closely I believe that the player cocks back the hex bolt that is actually animated behind the (what I assume is) fixed hammer.

I was thinking the hand models kind of looked like a hunt showdown character model, and the hatchet really reminded me of the throwing axe, then the shotgun being the Caldwell rival

I like the db but the barrel looks longer than default model, will stick out when grubbing in bushes and stuff

Id prefer for the new shotgun to have a slower fire rate but tighter spread and range than the db. Would make it actually serve a unique role.

I have no clue sorry, not even sure if they still plan to release it. They have flip flopped on what they planned to do it with it many times, it's a super cool gun however.

when are they gonna stop reskinning the same stuff anf making 3 versions of it instead of just giving ALL of us new items to enjoy and play with. i love rust and have been playing since legacy and thats where my issue comes from, we keep getting the same things again and again with a skin, we need new content, not recycled content, its getting old, been doing this for over 3 years, stop and take a look at other games with lack luster content, the only reason rust is still going is bc of the replayablility and they count on people sticking around to see the next "BIG" update when usually all it ever consists of is a few additions to world gen and maybe a new monument or two with like 1 item. cool we got vehicles. we got monuments we got npc. but the gear is repetetive. we shouldnt be raiding bases and getting the same makeshift looking junk armor every time, they said theyre adding in high tier versions of everything ok... where is my military gear?? where is the military chopper and sub?? where is the military vest?? not to mention that almost ALL miltiary guns are just reskins of an existing item that have a very SMALL one stat difference. again, i love rust, but this game has been out for WAYYYY too long to not have more weapons and tool options. i getit they try to keep it simple and relevant. but dude, this game shouldnt be this small after this long. even dayz that is FAMOUS for being in alpha for so long, has more content that this game in its vanilla versions. that is a major issue, ive waited since legacy for them to add more content, and instead all i keep getting is world gen updates that already you can already add into a world with rust edit, or a bug fix or a skin.. we should be getting AT LEAST 1 new item every mandotory wipe. instead we get changes to existing items, and a new mechanic that nobody uses that much like the water hoses bc WHO TF IS GONNA TAKE THEIR TIME TO MAKE A BASE AND USE ALL THE FEATURES just to have it wiped and restart. stuff like that isnt even used that much except on those random test builds that peopoe make for youtube content. and in that aspect, THIS GAME WOULD BE DEAD if youtube didnt exist. the only reason people come back to it is like i mentioned above and the content people push out for it. its all new players now, bc its is being developed so slow, THEY HAVE HAD PLENTY of time to get a bigger team, if not bigger a better team. to find people and hire them that can speed up the workflow. but for some reason, its like 2 guys are working on this game. i know modders and indie game developers that have made more progress in 2 weeks, than rusts team makes in 3 months, WHY???? and before someone says that i dont know what goes into the development process of a game, i know just fine. and there isnt any reason it should take them that long to make a world gen update to add in the stuff coming in the next update. i spent 3 days in rust edit, making my own monuments and topology to go into the world gen, with the amount of time that they have been making this game, they should be able to do that at twice the speed with their own tools in the unity engine. theres no reason that we should JUST NOW be getting this world gen update when theyve been working on it for a while. it literally seems like rust has 2 people working on entirely seperate parts but instead of communicating whats priority they just SLOWLY develope this and that in the background even though most of it never even gets added into the game in the long run anyways. MODULAR WEAPONS ring a bell anyone??? how about the other 30 plus ideas they scrapped after making all the models and concept and partially developing code.... its like a handful of people are sitting in a room going i have this idea and this idea but when asked to execute those ideas and put them into the game theres a breakdown in communication and they forget what theyre supposed to be doing. leading us to get a handful of bugfixes and no content, look at halos dev cycle and halo 2, rust?? taking over a month just to update world gen??? thats an issue. that shouldnt take that long, and at this rate rust wont ever be fully released until im about 50 and thisg ame came out when i was 10. stop Updating world gen again and again, PICK WHAT YOUR WORLDS TO LOOK LIKE and make an update and STOP TOUCHING IT. we dont need a world gen update every year. we dont need a graphics update just bc better tech is out. we NEED CONTENT. stop going and messing with stuff nobody has issues with. add new stuff in, we didnt need the rocks changed and to all the people complaining about the old rocks, you only complain bc youve seen the new rocks that are coming in the next update. and there lies the issue, RUST NEEDDS to stop touiching parts of their game that dont need to be fixes, and focus on adding in the content to complete their game, its like theyre just messing around doing whatever to their game and not actualy paying attention to its weak points

Females are smaller. Simple. As unfair as it is, best character model is black woman in Rust. It is what it is. I rerolled 3 times to get my black female character.
