The design and speed of the BMW 7 Series are impressive! I was blown away by its 0 to 100 acceleration in 5 seconds. What a luxurious car! Another terrific review Anna. This car is certainly better on the inside than the outside, that's just my view. You make a great point about people who purchase this car will not give a pair of dingo's kidneys what other people think. It's like anything, from cars, fashion or even a watch. The best review I have seen. Didn’t copy all the others saying how ugly the grill is. I was an S class driver before but currently waiting on delivery of the i7 version of this car and can’t wait. After sitting in the car, I didn’t even bother with a test drive. I just know it will be the best car I have ever driven Thanks for your review

@ Thank you. I went with Brooklyn grey since it’s not as popular for the 7 series. Hopefully it make the car blend in like a 5 series. Kinda happy people keep saying it’s an ugly car so i can enjoy it in peace. I used to drive the GLS600 Maybach, people keep asking my to make it bounce. I have never used that feature. What’s your favourite car so far in terms of comfort and luxury ? The GLS600 was my previous favourite, liked it even more then the Bentayga

That is a gorgeous paint for the 7 series, very elegant. I think both 7 series and the GLS Maybach are my favourite in terms of comfort. But I prefer the 7 series, it's a little bit more sophisticated and much better to drive and handle. I will have the GLS Maybach next week again so that'll be interesting to experience it again!

Hey Anna, once again a fabulous video. Coming from a current 7 series owner, it makes me wanna start the whole trade-in process again. :) Life Cycle Impulse change is new, and it will take some time to garner mass appeal. It can take a look here or a look there at a stop light, for those heads to turn, but the greater population will learn to accept the new look in my opinion. Many people can't accept change because their so use to the status quo, but car designs often trigger a like or don't like from most people. But I agree, once a BMW fan, the loyal base will always stay loyal. BTW, what other luxury sedan can boost a theater like 37 inch high def TV to watch LOL. Please continue with your amazing reviews. Hi Michael, thank you so much! I was hoping to see you dropping by :-) A change is good, you are so right, many people can't simply accept it. If BMW continues with the same designs, they will begin to stall. I am actually originally Polish, but I spent the last 23 years abroad ;-) I have even lived in the US for a year! A bit in Germany, some time in Switzerland, Spain, Singapore, Thailand and Australia but most of my time in New Zealand. Now I am back in Europe, between France, Poland and Switzerland. For a while that is ;-)

E38 is a great car, especially the 750iL. Its is dated and they are expensive to keep on the road. As a more modern choice check out the 2013-2017 Audi S8. Amazing vehicle, although very expensive to maintain.

I must say, again and again, that your delivery, your choice of words, inflection, mannerisms, and, dare I say, accent, are endearing, to say the least. Your opulent yet layperson sarcasm are top-notch, yet understated. Yep. I nailed that descriptor. When the subject of the video elicits such narrative, your content is riveting. Some of the cars just don’t bring the interest, despite your uncanny presence. Your personal stately and lovely elegance of form is light on the eyes, without tearing at the soul, if I may be so bold. Experience has shown me how the rewards of lust are often short in longevity and demoralizing in resolve. By any measure, own your beauty, within and without, for you, Anna, are more a human reward than any gem or ruby can deliver, and with eyes shut, your voice is intoxicating, yet when mine eyes bring forth your light, a deeper reward is imbibed. Elegant, fun, planted on Earth, able to fly as the angel. Any worthy partner shall call themselves rich. Indeed. But you drove the Maybach to a 4.8 second 0-100kph. On a wet road. BMW, take heed. That visage is an affront to human ingenuity and taste. It’s not just a sad perversion of appearance. Hi Anna! One thing I can agree with you and that is that I don't like this new 7 series exterior at all, I think it has become more angular than previous 7 series and in some angles the body is reminiscent of the Chrysler 300 that came a year ago. Then I hate the large and plastic grill but worst of all the paintwork. I can't with these carpet paints, because I grew up with old American cars (1930 - 1970) orgimal like kustpm and Low Rider. These cars have shiny and shiny paint, I love it when it's shiny and nice. These matt varnishes remind of those people who painted the cars in matt varnish and just sat and drank alcohol in the cars and were not interested in polishing and keeping the car nice. The same feeling gives this 7 series matt lacquer. it's terrible and gives me the feeling that BMW gives a shit about the paintwork.

nah, S class looks very bland and minimalistic to the point where presence is missing, which is very important for a luxury car, more so a E38 shadow than a Chrysler 300 tbh, alongside the front resembles Rolls Royce especially the whole front face with the boxy profile especially the split headlights and large grille closer in resemblance to the Spectre

I love the interior and how it drives, I just think it is hideous looking from the outside. I would take the Audi A8 or S class any day on looks alone. Such a pity BMW designers did that to the outside of what should be a beautiful car. Love the review Anna.

hideous because it doesn't look traditional, the S class may look better but doesn't equate to quality and reliability alone, and by time this 7 series will have their sales went up the roof beating the S class, if you can remember the E65 beating W220 in sales despite the hideous look

I'm a Mercedes fan... but this makes it difficult to remain so. My love affair with Mercedes started to ebb once they discontinued the S-Class Coupe. Since then, with them not bringing four-wheel steering to the UK, on the S-Class, and too many 'E' versions with severely restricted boot space, it's been a downward spiral. I'm going to give this serious consideration.

Hi Anthony, the S-Class Coupé was always my favourite one. I remember walking around Monaco, you see all the Bentleys, Rolls etc. then all of a sudden was this gorgeous navy S-Class coupé with light interior and beautiful alloys. I thought to myself, this is pure class, this is discreet in a way, but so elegant and sexy. This week I am testing the CLE and I have fallen in love with its looks but very true, the boot space is not the biggest. Although generous for a relatively small coupe. With the latest 7 series, I have started my test unbiased, without any pre-thought opinions and I have fallen in love with it. Many people don't like it but I can guarantee that a big chunk of this group would completely change their minds if they actually had this car for a week. It's not just the driving, but it feels so different, so unique and noble.

@@AnnaOnRoads - You summed up the S- class coupe perfectly: discreet class. I've looked at the CLE, but it's not S-Class standard. I certainly wouldn't get an 'e' version. I think the BMW is fairly unattractive to look at, to be honest. That's a shame, but it's the inside I care about more, in this type of vehicle. I've got others that are sufficient to satisfy my love of aesthetics. I've already started checking it out following your video, tbh, and it's hugely impressive. I don't spend much time in the back seat, but I've still got to have that screen! 😊

I owned a 7 series E32 which was the last 7 I ever wanted. Heads up for the technically challenged. If you own this car without a warranty, there goes little Johnny's college fund. There is no free lunch in automotive design. BMW invented the business model of complexity for profit. This car is a nightmare to own and will turn into a landfill faster than any 7 series in history.

Hey Anna, so I would have to disagree. I have been driving BMW for many years now and have owned 3, 5 and 7 series. For me the car I drive, I have to like the exterior otherwise I won't drive it. So just because its BMW I would not own that car despite what is inside and what is under the bonnet. The new grills are simply hideous to say the least. The best 7 series was without a doubt the E38 with its 4.4 V8 motor, I had 2 and they were a dream. The E39 is also a great car. Just my opinion.

But that again Mercedes may have better looks,but the quality and reliability nowadays are not like the olden days Mercedes, and also the styling of Mercedes are gorgeous with the exception of shitty vacuum cleaner engines especially the C43,C63s,CLE63S, GLC43 and GLC63, with the current stupidity of Mercedes own CEO with their engine decisions, they would slaughter the G wagon and S class with the 4 cylinder too, this looks like a Rolls Royce but it’s just 1/3 of the price, the spectre looking front end with boxy profile alongside split headlights and massive grille

S class isn’t any better tbh, and the 7 series looks better than 5 tbh, the new 5 series looks like a Honda Accord with a BMW nose up front and a Toyota Camry rear end, this looks like a Rolls Royce upfront with the boxy profile face with the split headlights and grille resembles a RR Spectre

Hi Ronnie, I love the S-Class, it's my favourite Mercedes model. But I also have to give credit when it's due. And it is certainly the latest 7 Series. I am referring to the ride quality and driving dynamics. I prefer the iDrive vs MBUX but both systems are the best on the market, in my opinion. Sometimes it comes down to something very simple - personal preference. iDrive and MBUX are actually very different.
