I own this bike in the same version. It is a great looking bike, so fun to ride. People are taking picture of it when stopping. Some like more comfort, some like it more sporty. I like how sporty it is. I bought an external soft fuel bags for my longer trip. I am would not change it after owning it for 2.5mpnths now.

Was in the market to buy a mid sized adventure bike. I did like the F900GS but the fuel range (approx 300 km) was not sufficient for my type of riding in Australia (and I prefer not to carry soft fuel cells). I settled on the Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition which I’m very happy with. If I would still live in Europe, my riding would probably be more on-road and less off-road and then the GS would probably have been a great choice given convenient access to petrol stations. And I agree, that GS quickshifter is by far the best I’ve experienced so far.

ive got one for my self with everything included. got it 2 months ago.. I think its a great bike on gravel. Not so mutch fun at highways but i will do the job. Quickshifter is great as you said. Mine have never failed when shifting. Enduro package in my opinion is a must. Depends what you are going to do with it. But better suspension is more fun. First bike with no key. ITS great. No more thinking if the key is still on the bike. Only think in my opinion that i dont like is the sound of it.. Think its to soft in the sound, even in dynamic. Sure ive got the smaller pops aswell. I have order a link pipe from arrow so i can remove the silencer underneth the swing.

I've just done 5 days riding the Transalpina and Transfargarasan in Romania. The three other guys in my group were on the F900 (Including the adventure version) and raved about it as an all-rounder. I was on the 1300. There was no area in which the 1300 out performed the 900 on that trip.

After watching in-depth review of this bike on the Big Rock Moto, it's just so silly to see the 21inch front bike being "tested" on the street of Warszafka... The only big test out there is the drivers patience...

I'm very excited about this bike and I intend to own one early next year. My big question to BMW: what took you so long? Husky made the Nuda 900 with a derivative of the BMW 800 twin using a 270 crank putting out 105bhp and making all the right power at all the right places (and making all that amazing sound) Multiple years ago. We could have had this bike a long time ago. Again: why the delay?
@RedRupert645 ай бұрын
I think this bike looks great, but there are two downside from my point of view: The fuel tank is too small. The stiff suspension - I've not ridden that bike yet, but I believe you. Some bikes in this sector come with too hard suspension (KTM 890AR and the DesertX). I like soft suspension for my fast and smooth riding style. KTM have reputation for being unreliable, but this is down to the way they deal with problems. BMWs are also unreliable, but BMW deal with customers' complaints better, so there's less moaning on the forums.
@MichalBaginski-m3b5 ай бұрын
I think fast and smooth =stiff in my experience.
@RedRupert645 ай бұрын
@@MichalBaginski-m3b It's the other way around - if smooth, you ask less of the suspension, so it can be softer, which allows it to soak up the bumps. If the suspension is hard, you get thrown around and the tyres spend less time in contact with the road surface. Hitting a bump at speed will compress the suspension whether you're smooth or aggressive. Softer springs (and less damping) will allow a smooth rider to focus more on comfort.

Hi V-Told! It’s nice to to watch a new video from your Channel. This bike has clear virtues, mainly out of the asphalt but it’s a nice all around bike for the city and as a commuter where it’s easy maneuver in, is rather appreciated and appealing. If we appreciate these tall and upright riding positions this BMW is a fine road bike. I’m not riding often off-road but if I were, the Yamaha Tenere 700 would be my choice or something even lighter, that probably is available on the KTM range. These bikes that exceed the concept of good crossovers because they can effectively be excellent in off road rides, I prefer a bigger engine displacement like the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE. Additionally, I like the classical retro look of this bike. We can travel on every bike, but for better convenience and comfort I would say it’s mandatory to look for other options, better suited for the purpose. Nice video, thanks!👌🏻

I am about to purchase one from my dealer, my only concern is the brief (< 1 second) , engine rattling noise when first started cold. Dealer say is normal and that is an oil being circulated when started but coming from boxer engines never had those kind of issues. Can someone comment on this?
@VToldsMotoShow4 ай бұрын
I think it used to be like this with the rattle for a while. I've got a car that does the same as is got oil-driven timing-chain tensioners.
@thewoodster86072 ай бұрын
Yes I can comment. The engine 'rattle' is there but goes. My 1250 GS is quiet initially but then sounds like a bag of spanners once the engine is warmed up. The 1300 is even noisier but this is completely normal.

@thewoodster86072 ай бұрын
Just my humble opinion as a 1250 owner: if you carry a pillion regularly and do massive motorway miles and/or carry loads of luggage etc, go for the 1250. Otherwise, I'd opt for the 900. Personally, I would not care about the smaller fuel tank as I don't want to sit on my bike for hours on end as it hurts. If this is an issue for you, go for the adventure version. Also, if you are a very good rider and can get the most out of a bike then I am going to suggest that when pushed to the max, the 1250 will handle better than the 900 but 99% of riders would not notice and if you are in the other 1% you wouldn't consider either of these bikes anyway!! Good luck. Both are great bikes.

Now that you have found a European bike with a good quick shifter, why not get your hands on the 2024 Yamaha MT09 SP and do a comparison? I have a feeling it will beat the BMW hands down. It maybe considered low budget but for me, since I bought in Sep 2021, it has not required taking back to the dealership. I cannot entertain buying a European bike simply because my 2020 Ninja 1000SX and 2021 MT09SP are so incredibly reliable that I never had to take them to the dealer, or was ever concerned about warranty. European bikes are like taking drugs; you will get high but you will pay a very heavy price in the end.
@RedRupert645 ай бұрын
You are exactly right - the Jap bikes tend to be very reliable, but the European bikes suit our needs and desires better. It's difficult to resist the bikes that the European manufacturers offer. I love my KTM 800AR, but know it won't last like a Jap.

I've been having an MT10 on my list - what about it instead of MT09?
@maldridge76305 ай бұрын
@@VToldsMotoShow From all the feedback and comparison videos I have been watching, it seems the MT10 is not in the same league as the MT09. MT10 is considered heavier, less nimble and not as engaging. Whenever you review the MT10, please be sure to mention the poor design choice of the headlights where only one side is used for low beam; this has been a deal-breaker for me. There are a lot of issues with the 3rd gen MT09 which appear to have been addressed, particularly the quick-shift problem. Cruise control is standard. Definitely incomplete without a proper windshield but still more reliable than any European bike.
@zymantasbenosis38863 ай бұрын
What a completely stupid comment you cant go off-road with mt or ninja... you cant compare them to f900gs.
@Soul_Searching3 ай бұрын
@@VToldsMotoShow I think the MT09 is much better as an all round bike. The MT10 is a sports bike with an upright riding position. It's also not economical. The MT09 engine is less powerful but is more fun and is still very fast. You'd love it. I have ridden one for the last 12 months and my only concern is the hard seat and cramped leg position, but am thinking about a comfort seat to give me more leg room etc

Fine. Now, that we have taken this out of the system - the new Stelvio..... 😀 And 1 more thing : Those 2x rear, red lights - BMW has lately made "their look" - : In the US - where auto-piloting of cars is not 100% forbidden - several bikers were killed by Teslas with sleeping drivers inside. It happened due to Teslas GREED -They took out the radar, and let all the piloting be done by cameras, which made the cars' brain assume - that it's a car in front - far in distance, and not a bike with 2 rear lights - right there..... Well - owners of bigger, newer BMW bikes are "playing with fire" by exposing their asses to 1/2 blind Tesals 😱😱
