If one eats a pizza with magic mushrooms topping before mounting the v85tt many of these issues may appear. But if you have a nice plain cheese pizza or sausage or just skip the magic mushroom topping , I don’t think any of these apparitions will appear. .

I“ve got the KTM 1290S (2020) and the 1290R (2023) and must say the 1290R is an outstanding bike. I took it on a 2600km ride through the Alps and rode more than 20 alpine passes with panniers and top case. The handling whether low speed (very good) or high speed and around the corners is almost the same as with the 19“ wheels on the S. I did not feel any difference. I have the KTM heated Powerparts seat on it and the comfort is great and we did 8 hours in the saddle every day. The footpegs are higher but no issue for my 189cm. Even with Enduro boots on there was no issue with shifting and comfort. With regards to the indicator switch I cannot confirm what was said in the video. Yes, there are better ones in the market but also don‘t forget it resets itself after a few second when you‘ve made the turn. The Quickshifter is outstanding and the engine is a dream - I also have a BMW GS 1200LC hence can compare, if you prefer the more sporty and agile engines then just go for it. One big minus is the stability when panniers and top case are on the bike. You cannot take the hands off the handlebar as between 40 - 100km/h you have such a bad shimmy effect that it will end up in a crash. Not acceptable for such a machine. This is not the case when you drive without panniers or top case!. All in all a wonderful do it all machine. I had the more street oriented Bridgestone tires (90/10) on it. So far, I bought the bike new, I did not have any issues, just the first service for 1000km was EUR 450 at a KTM dealer which is just outrageous. How on earth can you justify this for just an oil change. I also installed the higher windshield from KTM and it provides full protection from wind on longer distance drives. Highly recommended. For the short trips and off-road the smaller one is just perfect. I just love this bike and would always take it over the 1290S version as it is much more versatile than the S without compromises onroad.

I've been going on all kinds of moto trips, including cross country and cross continental trips, with my brother, wife and with my close friends for 13 years now, on many, many, many different bikes. If there's one thing that I learned, it is that if you ride only weekends and do small, sub 300km trips, it really doesn't matter which bike you pick - just pick whatever you can afford to maintain or if money is no object, just pick whatever you like the most, the features you want the most and so on and so forth. For you and that type of riding, it really doesn't matter what you pick. However, if you actually use or plan to use your new adventure bike for real travel/adventuring, then you will have to prioritize reliability>safety>comfort (in this exact order) above all else - again, I've been on many, many different bikes before I bought my very own and my first adventure bike, so with that I learned which bikes are good for exploring/adventuring and which... Aren't so good... And yes, I learned that the hard way... Reliability is something that new and/or inexperienced ADV riders either fail to take seriously or don't take seriously enough. With that said, if you fall into this rider category, as much as you might like them and despite their amazing performance and riding capabilities, you WILL WANT TO completely eliminate KTM, Ducati, Triumph, Harley and even BMW from your ''possible buy'' list. Yes, I've met plenty of KTM, Ducati, Triumph, BMW..., riders over the years, who traveled the world without any issues, but I've also met ten times as many KTM, Ducati, Triumph, BMW..., riders who faced the reality and consequences of owning lower reliability bikes and had to fly/drive back home, leave their bikes in the shop and rent ones to continue their trip, cancel their trips, spend thousands on rescue services, spend thousands on mechanic costs and bike parts and so on and so forth... So yeah... As much as everyone, including myself, loves the idea of owning and riding the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally through the European backroads and nature landscapes, sadly the reality says that you will want to sacrifice the urge to buy a Ducati and instead buy a bike that offers reliability, safety, comfort and more - if you want to have a relaxing, successful adventure, just as you planned to... A bikes reliability, build quality and the ability to fix the most of the core parts on the bike by yourself, on the go, in the middle of nowhere, is unfortunately overlooked and/or not prioritized enough by new, returning and even experienced riders. With all that said, for anyone that made it through this wall of text, to get to the point, the only three brands that I've NEVER and I mean NEVER had any issues with when it comes to reliability, were Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki... (So far, knock on wood...) I would also like to mention that BMW is the only exception, I would MAYBE, just MAYBE include BMW in the list too but the issue is that they can be pretty hit or miss... People either make 400,000km on them without any issues or they end up spending upwards of $15,000 on repairs and mechanic fees over the years...

thanks for the review, I'd just like a few more footage out of town. I'm getting mine in a week, replacing a VSTROM 1050 2023 (great bike by the way, but a bit too big and heavy, and the saddle tugs the ass like hell)

Interesting 🧐. So far my 2024Aragon Edition is the best bike I have owned. I love the quick shifter and the handling. I have not changed any of the suspension settings yet, but the stock ones seem fine at the moment.

For the price, the additional tariffs in Europe disadvantage the PanAm. Moving the engine building and European models assembly in Thailand will help. Revisit your comparison in 25 (maybe).

I have had a lot of motorcycles over a 50 year riding “career”. I am lucky to be able to have pretty much whatever bikes I want. And for quite a while now, about 10 years, I want Moto Guzzi. I guess I just don’t agree with much of what you say here. Everybody can ride what they want, so 👍 but I do not agree. I have become a total M-G fan. Maybe your test bike was set up wrong.

I think allot of these disagreeing commenters forget that they're not bike reviewers. Meaning that they don't have the ability to try out a bunch of brand new bikes all the time. If you like your Stelvio, that's great! But that doesn't make it an excellent bike.

Sorry, but you don't need to be a bike reviewer... just see other channels, he is alone against the world... He most probably got a fluke bike... he evens says so at minute 15 (it feels like two ceramic or metal parts are rubbing against eachother)... that is definetly an indication of something is wrong... probabbly the shaft is broken/mislaigned and kiiling all the power of the bike due to friction.
